Looking for the pros' advice here..
Here are the players:
Me, DS 12, DD 10, SO, MIL, and Nephew 8 were planning a two week trip to the world.
Due to an unfortunate scheduling conflict DS and DD won't be able to make it during the first week.
We had originally set up our reservations so that the nephew's birthday would be the first full day there, a really magical birthday! But now MY kids can't be there on his birthday date (and will be arriving a week later).
They were promised a two week vacation at disney (they even gave up christmas presents for the extra week stay-- not really, they agreed to it and wernt expecting it but got them anyway) and nephew is really looking forward to his birthday at Disney.
So SO and I have decided instead of 2 weeks, we will do 3!
We will still go to Magic Kingdom on Nephews birthday, but it will just be 4 of us. We will then spend the next week touring Florida (the east coast/west coast/Cape Canaveral rest days) until my kids show up.. BUT..
How do we work out our tickets?
we need the 10 day passes for 6 of us for the last two weeks, and then 4 one day tickets for Nephews Birthday. Unfortunatly, WDW doesn't have 21 day ticekts..
We could go non expiry on the 10 days, but that adds $800 to our costs.
We could just buy 1 day passes, but that costs $400 just for the one day.
We could get a few Annual passes and totally forgo the tickets, but doubt if we will use them past this trip (although you never know)..
What do the experts have to say.. which way should we go?
So what we have decided to do is
