Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Good Sunday Morning

#1 - NETFLIX - It’s not my most used streaming service, but we do watch it a lot.

#2 - NOTES - I’m always leaving myself notes, but the NOTES that I’m most grateful for is the notes in my iPhone. I have so many in there and I refer to it often.

#3 - NAIL POLISH - I love having fun nail polish on my nails. When I did custom picture framing, nail polish was not allowed unless it was clear, because it comes off on people’s artwork like a crayon. So for 25 years I never had on nail polish. After I retired from that profession in 2012, I’ve had my nail painted every day since then.

1. the US Navy -- so grateful for all the sailors who keep our oceans safe;
2. New Year's Day -- an opportunity to start a new year with new goals and new hopes;
3. the Notes app on my phone -- I would be lost without this place to keep all the information that I need but can never remember.

Notebooks - i’m old-fashioned I like notebooks I like taking notes I like making list so I have lots of notebooks all different sizes all different shapes I’m a pin and paper person

I’ll second nail polish - I have a lot of nail polish I have found lots of uses for besides painting my nails

Nightshade plant... when all seems nocturnal.. this is where I pray every morning carrying a nickel color bucket of water across the street into abandoned yard... abandoned we are not...a list from Bible study and what lists my heart on stormy seas

Afternoon all,

1. Notes app - another vote here for the notes app on my phone. I use it for all of my holiday planning, useful information etc.

2. Nespresso machine - my trusty coffee machine that I couldn't live without on a daily basis.

3. Nature - love getting outside and appreciating nature, and having it available on my doorstep.

I’m very grateful that my DGD has a STEAM class at school. She loves science and art
Scientific breakthroughs for sure, especially in cancer treatment
People like Neil deGrasse Tyson who promotes the sciences and Bill Nye, whose Science Guy show was a favorite in this house

Happy Monday
(a very snowy Monday by me )

#1 - OUR SNOWBLOWER - My DH doesn’t have it ready yet, because we need expected all this snow today

#2 - MY CAR - It has 4 wheel drive, which will be very useful on this snowy morning.

#3 - TOWN SNOW PLOWS - one hasn’t gone by my house yet. I wonder if they’ve been plowing the main roads.

The US Army was our client for 10 years it was my account and my team gave me my own set of dog tags made specifically for me in my unique function in the team so I didn’t have two dog tags I had like 20 one from each member of the team in each tag had something on it that I would be hounding these people for to do my job !!

My Car

My Tools it was funny I was in the store the other day buying some tools that I needed to finish a project and I was asking the employee the difference between two different brands and I had one of them in my hands and he’s like well who are you buying that for that’s a really nice gift and I said it’s not a gift I’m buying it for myself he was just shocked that a woman would be buying these tools he’s like well that’s a really nice brand don’t you think you would want something a little bit cheaper I said no I don’t why would I want to get the cheaper tools that are just going to not work as well and break ?? You just said they don’t hold and they don’t work as well so why would I want those?? This is why I have in my hands what I do I want the spread and he was just blown away he’s like well how would you have known that again assuming because I’m a woman I wouldn’t have known this and I thought I was just asking about size I wasn’t asking about quality and brand - I’m grateful that I have learned over the years what I need I may not know or be able to implement it but I do know what is needed !

Afternoon all,

I'm in a very happy mood today as tomorrow I fly out to Hong Kong

1. My car - another vote as couldn't live without it!

2. Metal hypoallergenic jewellery - I seem to have fairly sensitive skin and metals that aren’t hypoallergenic really disagree with me, so I'm really grateful for all of the hypoallergenic metal jewellery out there.

3. Kitchen equipment - so many of these tools I use in my kitchen are metal, from baking trays and utensils to carving knives and my mixer bowl.
