Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Love Sequence!!

1. Final Fantasy - bit left field as it's a console game rather than a board or card game, but these games have been a favourite of mine since I was a kid and I still play them to this day.

2. Card games - nothing in particular as I've played so many fun ones, but card games in general have been something I've enjoyed for decades and have fond memories of, whether playing with my dad as a kid, at college on our lunch breaks or drinking games at parties.

3. Frustration - i played board games a lot when I was kid, many different types and still play to this day. But the one that I remember the best is Frustration, which definitely lived up to it's name.

So many great games to choose from, so I'm going to concentrate on a couple I remember fondly from when I was a kid:

Giants, Elves, & Wizards (kind of like Rock, Paper, Scissors... but with running  ) - We used to organized large games of this in our side yard.

Trivial Pursuit - We used to take the cards on long trips, and mom would read out questions and we'd all try to figure out the answers.

Clue - My brother and I used to play this one at my grandma's house.

I love bags! - purses, backpacks, canvas totes... I'm grateful to be able to switch on a whim.

I'm grateful I live where grocery stores encourage reusable shopping bags. It's fun when people complement them, and you see what you have in common with a stranger.

Grateful for the folding bag I have that becomes very tiny and fits in my purse. I got it at Disney Springs.
I thought of reusable grocery bags also, we use them every week and have for many years!, but I got distracted by my collection of ziplocs. ( had I not gotten distracted, I wouldn’t have had to confess my plastic guilt)

My DGD and I have fun playing Chutes and Ladders.

Board games with my sister when we were kids: Monopoly, Life, Parcheesi, and Mystery Date

Family Thanksgivings: Trivial Pursuit and Facts and Five

Honorable mention to my phone games: Duolingo (chess, Spanish, and math), Words with Friends, Wordle, Strands, and Connections

So if Vermont is your home state or vacation playground, please tell us what you're grateful for about it! Otherwise,

Today's Topic (Sun, 10/12) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with the letter V

Happy Sunday

#1 - Van - As in my mini van. I loved my Toyota Sienna so much. I will never ever understand why people have such an issue with mini vans. We made so many great memories while driving in that van.

#2 - Vacations - They are a blessing and something to always be grateful for.

#3 - Vests - As in my heavy Northface vests. They are the best to wear when running errands during the winter. I prefer wearing a heavy sweatshirt or sweater with them instead of a coat.
