Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Happy October to all. Very happy October birthday prayers to all of you celebrating your special day this new month.

I am deeply praying that I will always remember today as a huge positive turning about in my recovery and future.

I do not celebrate traditional Halloween and am not a fan of it. I have participated in years past in Trunk or Treat at church. God willing in the future, I wouls enjoy being a part of a faith based church fall event.

My beloved late grandma went to Heaven by my faith belief to be with my grandpa, Champ, and above all else, God, 20 years ago today. She was a feisty and fiercely loyal lady who loved all blessed ro know her. She truly made a life changing and saving difference to me. Reminder, dear friends, to tell those who you care about and love how much they mean to you today, please don't wait! Extra hug to each of you.

1. Halloween decorations- I need to make some time to do ours. I was able to pick up some new lights and webbing on discount yesterday.

2. Halloween baking shows- I love seeing all of the fun sweet and savory ideas. I really want to buy this skull pan so I can make little skull pizza and stuffed cherry cheesecake bites (separate batches, of course). Maybe I’ll even do a yummy mummy this year.

3. Costumes- I haven’t dressed up in a while but I love kid and adults dressing up…especially the super creative ones.

Evening all,

Happy October birthdays to Slo and PollyannaMom :bday: 🥳

October is a month I'm usually fairly indifferent about as it tends to be one of those months where nothing much happens. No birthdays, no events and Halloween over here isn't a big thing like it is in the States (I wish it was!), however these always make October much better:

1. Pumpkin spice - love a pumpkin spice latte or anything pumpkin spice flavour or scented.

2. Knitwear & cosy clothes - I don't like being cold, but I do like being able to wear my cosy sweaters, knits and leggings without being too hot or having to wear a million layers & winter stuff on top.

3. Horror films - horrors are my go to films to watch any time of year, but i particularly love going overboard on them at this time of year with it being Halloween.

This time last year I was in WDW, so this October is certainly a comedown!

Making and serving my apple cranberry crumble pie
That sounds DELICIOUS! You just reminded me that I froze several containers of homemade cranberry sauce from last year. It's thick enough that I could turn it into some kind of pie. Mine is pretty orange forward, but I think it could still pair well with apple. Thanks for the idea!
