Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Happy HUMP Day Friends

There’s so many combinations I love.

#1 - Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly - There are no amount of words to explain how much I love this 🤎💜

#2 - Peanut Butter & Bananas - This is a close second to the PB&J. A slice of bread, thick peanut butter spread on it and sliced bananas on top is heavenly 🤎💛

#3 - Pepperoni & Mushrooms - My favorite pizza ingredients combo 🍕

#4 - Bonus - Vanilla Ice Cream & Hot Fudge - So much love for this 🤍🖤

Good Thursday Morning!

I’m focusing on sweets, because I really love sweets. I rarely eat this stuff, but it doesn’t stop me from loving it.

#1 - Birthday Cake - If we could eat birthday cake and never gain weight, I’d be buying myself or baking myself, a birthday cake every week.

#2 - My Chocolate Chip Cookies - I love my recipe and sadly only make them at Christmas

#3 - My Banana Muffins - I love them, but I never make these anymore due to us just not eating baked things at home - not good for our waistlines

Cake - Slo's poll the other day has put cake on my brain. I don't need it, so I won't be baking any (probably until April), but it's fun to think about. I'm also grateful that I can since it gave me peace of mind for so many years with DD18 and her food allergies.

Casseroles - This goes for anything and everything I've ever made in a casserole dish (enchiladas, lasagna, mac & cheese, spanakopita, etc.). They're easy to prep in advance, freeze and bake when you need it. It's also easy storage of leftovers. The other night, I made one that was a mix of chicken pot pie and chicken and biscuits.

Childhood Crafts - Makeit & Bakeit was the first thing that came to mind followed by Shrinky Dinks. The first was always fun because it was like a safer home version of stained glass. With the latter, my mom would sometimes drill holes in them once baked so they could be turned into jewelry (bracelets and earrings), charms for barrettes, or even little ornament type decorations. Funny but all of the modern kits I've seen are designed for jewelry. So, I guess we were ahead of our time. I think a few of the clay cartoon figure kits also involved baking.

*My picks also could be three things that begin with C gratitude! ☺️

I'm noticing a lot of sweets are featured in these "holidays" in the winter 😂 - will take inspiration from the name, though...
