Today's Topic (Sun, 8/20) - 3 red things you're grateful for

Red things...
1. My heart pillow. It's a small, heart-shaped red pillow that has "Yours Forever" embroidered in gold. DD gave me for Valentine's day when she was 9 or 10. I know it's supposed to be a boyfriend/girlfriend type gift, but DD didn't know that and she picked it out for me. I still sleep with it tucked under my chin almost every night. Considering that DD will be 30 in a few weeks, that's a lot of nights.
2. Red wine/sangria
3. Cooked lobster!

RED is my favorite color

#1 - I’m grateful for my red Mickey Mouse bathroom - its such a fun bathroom.

#2 - I’m grateful for my red and white family room and dining room - it’s been this way for 19 years and I can’t bring myself to change it.

#3 - I’m grateful for my red robes (a warm weather one and cold weather one) - they are the first thing I put on every day - they are both old, but still perfect. Once I like something, then I’ll use it until I can’t anymore.

I’m sure everybody sick of hearing us diss our state - it’s just they are silly so will stop
We do have some nice things to visit they’re just not national parks
Our zoo is awesome / we have several museums that are very nice / and lots of other neat things to do

Katie used to play softball at a fantastic facility there - near Chesterfield. We’d go every October.

Red to me is also a happier color of Christmas and Valentine's Day, which to me, are two days all about and made possible by Love.

Red . . .

The Coach Disney handbag my sister got me for my birthday. It’s the one that looks like the old plastic shopping bags, red with a yellow Mickey icon background and Mickey & Minnie on it. I also have the matching keychain.

Strawberries and raspberries

The red glass Mickey shaped tea light holders that I have on the mantle. I think they are supposed to be for Christmas but I keep them out all year.

1. I have to agree with the red tomatoes - I eat one (almost) every day with cottage cheese for lunch! I especially love home grown ones. We stopped by a stand today on our way home from lunch with my mom.

2. Oldest DD has had her hair a pretty red color before. Kind of a strawberry blond, but it was so pretty on her.

3. Even thought they're not doing so well this year, Cardinal Red - When DS was a kid his room was done with a STL Cardinals theme. One of his walls was painted the bright cardinal red. When we decided to sell our house, we had to paint it and it took a couple of good coats to cover it!
