I need some prayer warriors….DD19 is at the ER right now with a BP of 170/120. She’s had times of high BP before, but never like this. She’s frightened with being far from home. Luckily her BF is able to be with her. Please keep her in your prayers.

Definitely the print on pages!! (Not sure who said that already - a couple of folks, I think.) - I love reading!

B&W photographs - I'm taking a class and also enjoying this thread here on the DIS right now: https://www.disboards.com/threads/photo-tutorial-back-to-basics-improving-our-photos.3914897/ One of the things I've been prompted to do is look at the same photo in color and B&W and see how that changes it.

2. Brown vs. the Board of Education
3. Kermit the Frog
(P.S. I totally just Googled and found a slide show and went through them until I found three I liked)

(Fri, 4/14) - 3 things you're grateful for that are grey or black
1. My car (Grey/silver) who is named Olaf
2. This Grumpy shirt that my mom found a few months ago... It had been lost for years (literally) and my mom found it in my brother's stuff, somehow. (It says "Size doesn't matter")

3. I think I may have to steal the answer of rain clouds. I love a light thunderstorm in the spring/summer, especially those low, long rumbles.


For the 1950s, a couple of you mentioned Cinderella. A couple of weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of watching my cousins' daughter play Cinderella at the local college she attends. My mom and I were just blown away by the entire production. It was just outstanding. And it was so fun to say that I knew Cinderella. Plus, there was an adorable little girl sitting in front of us who said "Thank you for the books" after I got programs for them. It was just a magical night, honestly. Pun 100% intentional.

Gray or black things:

1. My Highlander is gray—favorite car ever. I love the height of it—my husband’s truck is high and I have to pull myself up to get in it, the kids’ cars are low—feel like I’m sitting on the ground, my car is just right. Rides smooth, handles nice and it’s a 2013 with very few maintenance issues.
2. Black pants—I wear them all the time.
3. Silver earrings—I wear them every day.

Conveniences:

1. Target’s Drive Up service—started using it during the pandemic. Huge times saver and saves me money—no impulse buys.
2. Pre ordering food on an app—also a huge time saver.
3. Costco Disinfecting Wipes—great for a quick clean up of counters, sinks, even floors.

Conveniences I'm grateful for:

I generally dislike making phone calls, so two of mine are related to not having to do that: Texting and Online take-out ordering.

I'm also grateful for pay-at-the-pump gas, because I don't have to know in advance how much I need.

I'll second Clorox/Lysol Wipes, too - great answer!

ONLINE shopping - two reasons - one it’s but safe going to the mall around here two -I’m getting a divorce and as Luck Would have it I run into with future ex or peeps he’s living with EVERY time I’d go to store - no matter store or day or time - so I quit doing that and online order - cheaper anyway as I don’t purchase all that cute stuff I see
Internet - I can connect with my friends across the Pond or across the US lighting fast plus I get to make new friends
DIS / Instagram / Pinterest / Google - my go to to obtain any info I need in life - if I can’t find it there I don’t need it -please note who got top listing

When I first read about the sweatshirt, I thought it was the tag that said "size doesn't matter" (instead of one size..."). Then I looked closer at the graphic and realized my error. So glad that sweatshirt has found its way back in your hands again. Thanks for sharing.
