Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Good Saturday Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful for my peanut butter balls, Oreo balls and Amaretto balls - all are coated in chocolate - so good!

#2 - I’m grateful for Hershey Kisses - there’s something so satisfying with unwrapping those little chocolates

#3 - I’m grateful for my tuna wraps - this may sound weird, so I’ll tell you why. I took a chance and bought some flavored tuna pouches for my DH and I to have during Lent and we really liked them - now we have them at least once a week. It’s better for us than lunchmeat and we can change the flavors - so good!

Choc covered cherries - I could eat my weight and those love them I have ever since I was a kid I’m no kid I’m an old goat 🐐
Burritos chimichangas taquitos - love them with that being said see reference about being an old goat just can’t eat that stuff anymore which is really sad because it’s delicious

BLT wrap or California wrap ❤️

Any of those little dips you make rolled up in those wraps !! Yummy !!!

I sure love my chocolate "covered" well stirred in hot chocolate! :D The same with pudding. When I was much younger and in college, I liked chocolate covered graham crackers and the Keebler cookie version of them as well. Sweet Saturday treats to all with love :)

Layered/covered/wrapped things...
My sister makes a white lasagna that is to DIE for!
My fuzzy, warm, oversized throw blanket. Bought it at Sam's and am quite surprised by how warm it is and how well it's held up (2 years, no pilling).
Christmas presents! (wrapped... I think I'm more excited about the "wrapped" part- which they aren't- than the present part!)

Little luxuries...
Our coffee pot. At night we can put the beans, filter, and water in the pot and pre-program it to start whenever we choose. The machine grinds and brews, and there is a lovely pot of freshly-ground coffee waiting when one of us staggers downstairs each morning.
The recliner we bought for DH's shoulder surgery. I am not sure if it's a "small" luxury at $500, but it's surely not flashy or luxurious. HOWEVER- it's a power chair so it adjusts at the touch of a button. DH never would have made it thru his shoulder recovery without it, meaning we both got a better night's sleep. I've been using it to help elevate my leg, but it's also a good spot for me to relax/sleep when my back is acting up. Granted, our 15X15 bedroom is a bit "cozy" with all that's in it, but it's worth it to get a good night's sleep (and less floor space to vacuum, hahaha!).
My NOOK. I am of an age and my vision of a state that I had to stop reading in bed about 5 years ago. Glasses on, off, or at the tip of my nose, sitting up or lying down, up close or held at arms' length, hard cover or paperback, I just couldn't get the right angle to be able to read in bed. My Nook solved that. Bonus is that it has its own little light, so I can read after DH wants to shut off the light and go to sleep, or if I wake up in the middle of the night, without waking him!

Good Sunday Morning!

#1 - I’m grateful for our Sleep Number bed - my DH likes to sleep on what seems like a concrete slab :lmao:and I like to sleep on a normal medium firmness. We’ll always have a Sleep Number.

#2 - I’m grateful for my Hybrid RAV4 - buying this car almost 2 years ago was the best decision. We can drive 2 1/2 hours back and forth (5 hours total) to where DD20 goes to school and use only a 1/2 tank of gas.

#3 - I’m grateful for my iPad - so convenient for me to use anywhere.

I’ve come here to check the thread. DH is with me, and for that I am most grateful….he had chest pains for nearly 5 days before heading to a hospital. Even then, he drove to the kennel to drop off Gus before driving to the hospital. There, they promptly helicoptered him to a hospital that was better equipped to deal with him.

Having more time with DH is what I am most grateful for.

I was in WDW with friends while this was going on. DH’s “excuse “ includes having to wait until Thursday because the carpet cleaner was coming. Even at that, he waited to Friday to call me and say, “ I guess I can’t tell you not to worry, but I’m heading to the hospital because I have chest pains.”

Please, if you have chest pains, call 911.

There should be a hug emoji for posts like this' it doesn't seem right to 'like' it.

I'm sorry you had such an anxious experience and I'm very glad he's OK.
