Three-Bedroom @ Grand Californian

I'm looking into getting a 3-bedroom room vs. 3 separate rooms for our party of 9. I am having trouble finding information on the 3-bedroom units. Are they just 3 hotel rooms linked together, or do they have their own, distinct floor plans? Are they the rooms usually held for DVC members and then rented out as hotel rooms when available (like they do in WDW)? What are the grand villas and how are they different? Thanks in advance.

GCH does have multi-BR suites. You can Google that. You may have to call to find out more about costs as I do not recall seeing that on the DLR website.

These are different from the GCV rooms which have up to 3 BR and have to be reserved far in advance.

Would it be impossible to find a Grand Villa to rent on one of those DVC rental sites? I assume those are in high demand, especially given we hope to go in September.

I recently inquired about a DVC 2BR for August and was told everything, even studios, is booked through January.

The GCV we have next week I rented last August. So 10 months in advance.

So likely not possible.
