Hi... I have three questions about the new village that is under contruction at the AKL... I know these questions have been addressed before but I have been reading/hearing different things... Sorry if these are in fact repeat questions...

First Question: Will all AKL guests have access to the new facilities in the village including the new playground, pool and water play area?

Second Question: Will there be any club level accomadations in the new building or will all club level rooms remain in the main/current building? I was told by a CM that 10% of the new rooms will be club level but I have read different on this website.

Leads To Third Question: How will club level guests be able to access the new facilities if the club level rooms remain ONLY in the main lodge?

My understanding is that they will only let DVC members/people with an AKV ressie into Kidani Village.

There are no club level accommodations at Kidani Village.

The new facilities at Kidani are not club level, and are available to those staying at AKV by simply walking over to Kidani.

Thanks wildernessDad... Just curious.... How will they prevent non-members from entering the village? Will they check membership cards? What about those people staying in the villas but are not members... Just wondering how all of this is going to work.

Thanks again for the information :goodvibes

I'll bet it will be gated like SAB at the YC/BC/BCV.

To limit access they could require that we use our room keys for access like they do after 11:00 PM at some of the resorts.

AKL uses keys for admission to the Concierge level, so I can see them using keys for admission to the Kidani pool area too. I would HOPE that happens, because I can see resort folks from AKL wanting to use the water park, and that really wouldn't be fair. It could turn out like at VWL where the campers use the DVC pool.

And AKL uses the room keys on the fifth DVC floor to access the washer and dryers. They are free for DVC members.

But you have to have a room key to get into the laundry room. BTW the room has a nice TV. They also sell soap but a CM gave us some for free even though we had taken our own supply.
