Reviews by Me! for places we went to. So you can go "I wonder if I would hate that" and then change your reservations for the 5th time.:rotfl2:

A few questions answered up front.

This was on the Deluxe Dinning Plan. No it was not too much food, if you order correctly. I do not know if I will try the plan again as I could eat cheaper, thus letting me go to WDW more often.

Tips: I tipped 15 to about 22% depending on the service. I had mostly average service with 2 bright spots being Crystal Palace Breakfast and Tony's. Both where very good.

About half of the places where accepting walkups with a 20 to 40 minute wait. The longest we waited was 10 minutes at Mamma Melrose.

Reviews to follow, some with photos.

Crystal Palace diner
1900 Park Faire
Liberty Tree Tavern
H&V character breakfast
Momma Melrose
Cape May Breakfast
Beirgarten
Chefs de France
Tusker House breakfast
Yak and Yeti
Kona Cafe
Tony's Town Square
Akershus Breakfast
Rose and Crown
Crystal Palace Breakfast
Plaza

I may throw in a few others. I am very tired at the moment, and I have vertigo:upsidedow So don't hold your breath.

I will answer questions from any "normal" people who care to ask. I may even answer ones from the peanut gallery:rotfl: .

Sounds like it's gonna be a great report!

I've really been wanting some reviews of Yak and Yeti. :)

Can't wait!

And just to let people know: I gained exatly 1 pound doing the deluxe plan. :cool1:

Cast:
Me: man, 36, planner
Wife: woman, is of legal age, not a planner
Daughter: girl, 6, "what?" Diabetic
Son: Boy, 3, "Cars!"

First Up: Crystal Palace before P&PP
Overall good food with a nice selection to pick over. Things that are supposed to be hot are, things that are supposed to be cold are.
Salmon and other fish are very good. The bread was a supprise: I was not expecting berrys in it. very nice suprise. The son ate mac and cheese, the son always eats mac and cheese. Dessert was a mix of several items. The chocolate cake was best.

Characters were fun, and very well handled. They were moved along well, but not rushed.

1900 Park Fair

Standard breakfast stuff. The jams for the toast where nice. Everything was very clean. Food was good.

character where in good form. They joked a little, signed books, and then posed for photos.

Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter and Pooh. Very fun.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Goofy rules!! The charcter was great. Joking and playing with people, not just the kids. Minnie Mouse was also good interacting with Goofy.

Food: The meats where cooked very good. The flavores are nice, but not seasoned enough (I am Cajun BTW :thumbsup2 ). Again the son loved the mac and cheese (this one was very good). Dessert was both hot and cold in the same bowl. The Cobbler was good!

The sides were also very good. The salad had a tangy dressing that fit the greens well.

I would return here for the food.:thumbsup2

Thanks for sharing...looking forward hearing about Tony's and Rose & Crown since we will be hitting these come April.

H & V Breakfast at The Studios

Got into the park before opening and was able to get some nice pics of an empty park. :thumbsup2

Food: Again standard breakfast stuff with a very nice selection. Everything was clean and well organized. Eggs where cooked just right:thumbsup2 . Fruits where freash. Paisteries where fattening :rotfl2: .

Characters: Good interaction. Jo-Jo and Goliath played with the kids. The "real" people got the kids up to dance and sing. Fun time was had by all.

I would do this again OOP. :thumbsup2

Gosh... I hope I'm normal at this point. LOL!

Does your daughter take shots or is she on the pump? And how did that go touring the parks?

Shots. She was a bit up and down. She would eat a bunch and then run around a lot. By the time we tested her again (for her next meal) she would be back down into the normal range. A few times she actually had to have extra food due to the running around. So If you have a Type 1 you may want to check them more often in the late afternoon.

Mama Melrose

Decor: the place looks great! Wonderful extras everywhere. And the lighting is very good.

SErvice: Above average. Our waitress was good. Talked enough to keep us comfertable and informed of what was going on, but not to much where you wanted to say "go away so I can eat" :lmao:

Food:

I had the Mozerella and Tomatoes for an app. It was very good. The sauce is nice and tart. :thumbsup2

Wife had the calamari: crispy and tender with a good flavor

Main course:
Me: Wood Grilled Tuna. I asked for it as rare as possable (I like Sushi). One side was lightly brown, the other was still red with grill marks :thumbsup2
Tasted great. The zuccini needed to be cooked a little more.
Wife: Spaghetti Fra Diavolo: She ate the whole thing and loved it. She then went on R&Roller coaster and did not love it:rotfl:
Kids had Chicken strips and liked them.

Good place, will return.

Cape May:

Setting: WOW! what a great place. Looked fantastic. Loved the theaming. Son liked the Donald Duck cartoon in the waiting area.:rotfl2:

Service: very good. prompt and freindly. Waitress keeped the glasses full and the empty plates dissapeared quickly.

Food: BLitzens are very good. Not good for you, but very good.:lovestruc . The buffet is very well laid out and easy to get into and out of. Food was well organized and the area was super clean. They had 3 people cleaning the food area at all times:thumbsup2 The fruit selection was also nice.

Characters: Chip, Goofy and Minnie where good. But the show stealer was Dale. It was Mardi Gras day and he was trying to get the ladys to "Flash for Beads" :lmao: :rotfl2: . The wife thought it was funny. And no Nobody flashed (unfortunatly for mepirate: ).

Overall: good place. Probably would not go here again unless I was staying at the Beach club, but that is due to travel time, not due to the food, service or characters. I do recomend trying it at least once if you do not worry about Park Time.

Beirgarten:

Tall blond women serving me Food and Drinks :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Ok back to reality.

Atmosphere: Top notch. The place looks great. There is actually room between the tables to move in and out.

Food: Fun!! I liked everything I tried (and I tried a bunch of stuff). Wife loved the food (she has some German in her family). The foods all looked like stuff the normal American Family would have, but with a slight difference to the taste.

Fun Fact. The Girl (about 13 with her family) who was sitting at the table with us was also a type 1 Diabetic. She showed my daughter her Pump and told her how much easier it was. :thumbsup2 My daughter WILL NOT get a pump because she will not let anyone touch her stomach.:confused3

Good place. Great for Lunch. It took us about 40 minutes for everything here and we will keep this on our "Go" places.:woohoo:

Chefs De France

Atmosphere: wonderful. The place looked like all of those postcards you see. The only problem: the tables are set too close together. You could not move.

Service: very good. nothing great, but good.

Food:
I had the Tuna. It was ok. For dessert I had the Crepes. It was very good.
Wife had teh duck. Very good. Dessert was the Creme B. She loved it.
Kids had Chicken :confused3

This is on out "go" list.:thumbsup2

My son did shots for a year, then got the pump at 8yrs. It doesn't have to go in the stomach!
Off topic, but for informational purposes!:flower3:

Tusker House: Breakfast.

Atmosphere: Very good. I like the modest remodel they did. The decorations are good and not over the top.

Food: Fairly standard with a few "new" things. The "mango chutney" is good!! Other stuff is standard. The layout is a U shape with the guests inside the U. This is a bit slower than if the guests where on the outside of the U. They do incourage you to jump to the area you want and not to wait iin line.:thumbsup2

Characters: good, but nothing unusual. Donald looks good in a safary outfit. :cool1:

If you time things correctly, you can get to the safary ride at openning. We did not, but only had a 15 minute wait.

On out "Go" list.
