Thread privacy

I'm well into my second Trip Report, and it just occurred to me to think of this. Is there any way to set the privacy of a thread that I've started so that it's only available to registered members? I guess I just don't love the idea of it coming up in a Google search.

No, anything posted on the DIS is public, open for anyone to read.

If you want a forum where you control who can read, you'll probably want to look into a private blog or members-only forum.

As our mission here is to openly share trip planning information, we welcome being Google-able.

There is not. Anything that is posted here is fully public and I can tell you that Goggle often returns DIS threads on their first page of results. My rule of thumb is to never post anything that I wouldn't mind having put on a giant billboard in my town!
