Gosh miss a day and look at all these pages.
disney54us-are you using your superior computer skills again?

Teach us all how to type a word and have the smilie appear. I'm glad DS had a good day at school. And for DD, you are right that she just has to be more aware of her surroundings. Not that public schools are bad just different. Glad she found some people she knows there.
Yes, and since you made me my TK'er LGMH I would tell you how to do that, it I only new

. Yes, it's not that its bad but different, sorta like when she would go to the City w/DN and DN would have to say you can't be texting and crossing here, they will run you over. Yeilding to Pedestrian's doesn't happen here.
I leave on the 23rd and that's 78 days away. And no, I didn't know that off the top of my head. I had to go make one of those countdown tickers that show the days.
I don't have anything else to really plan anymore. I'm trying to not make alot of plans and just go with the flow this year. I have a few rides we have to do but I really want to spend some time exploring this year.

glad to here you didn't overplan, sometimes we just have to let the magic happen. Of course for ADR's I need to move it, move it.
disney54us - We have two school which are "twinned". One does Junior kindergarten - Grade 3 and the other Grade 4 - 8. The actual BBQ takes place at the younger ones school but then both school are open to tour & meet the teacher after everyone eats.
Love that idea, sounds like fun and a great welcome/welcome back.
Friday used to be "whatever" night here too--often pizza. Yes, they do eat what they make (if they like it, and they usually do), so alot of times they aren't real hungry at dinnertime. And the party was grownups only--they were here at home while I went! And no food there for me anyway.
Tomorrow night I have a surprise birthday party to go to, so I won't be having dinner at home. I'd totally forgotten! Oh well, they can have the spaghetti, and I'll have some Sunday when they are with their father...
Oh, didn't know the party was for the adults, then yep you were in a time jam. Spaghetti, works have fun at the party.
Most of our ADRs are at the resorts where we're staying except for Sci Fi, CRT (girls only) & Chef Mickey's...oh and DH & I are going to celebrate my birthday at Narcoossee's. (Kids will go to the Neverland Club)
CRT???? gee I still don't get these abbr. sometimes. Love Narcoossee's, haven't been in a few, very nice if your there during MK's fireworks, just step outside and they use to pipe the music in. What part of the poly are you staying in??? Even though we're
DVC, that is one of our fav's. First, two trips with DD (DS was just a star in the sky). We stayed there in the concierge bldg. We still stay there with our DVC pts, though some would never think of using there pts like that I bought knowing I could stay there.
We're doing Sci-Fi for the first time this year. I am burnt out on doing character meals from the last 2 years. But I still wanted something that looked like fun for the kiddos. DH and I were planning a night out to go to PI but now they are closing.

I still have to figure out what else we can do. My stepsis is going with us and she said she would watch the kids one night so we could go out.
Couples night out

, glad to hear step sis is still going. Mmm here's a few suggestions depending on what you like. You could, have dinner a really nice place that with a family would be to costly. PI may be closed but if your looking for music and dancing swing on over to the Boardwalk. The Poly has a bar/rest. w/ music at night. Cal. Grill beautiful views sit in the lounge area get a window seat/couch and enjoy maybe have a appetizer.
You could head over to Epcot, if you don't want to have a actually 'formal' dinner stroll the countries and most have outside stands that you can buy a taste of this a taste of that. Think of it like a Tappas except your eating your way through the word

. DH likes to try some of the beers from Japan and China, I like trying the wines in Italy. Of course maybe finish off w/ Champagne in france and past the restaurant and down the path is a wonderful pastry shop. Remember I'm not that into desserts and it gets to me. I was in France when I was 15 and this the real thing. they have outdoor tables set up and you can get coffee or go french have dessert and Champagne, live it up. You guys can relax and take in illuminations. Okay there's a few.
Good morning! While I was too busy to log on yesterday, you guys were full on chatty! So how did the school week go on for everyone? I'm going to talk to my little niece and nephew today to find out how their first days went.
disney54us...no problem about the next thread's title. That's the kind of input I was looking for, and something for all of us to think about as the dreaded 250 pages approaches (rather quickly I think!).
Ev, your DD and Brody are just so darn cute! OMG!
Just little over a week until my trip! Its grey and gloomy here already. I thought Hanna had already passed coz it rained so hard last night! Then I turn on the news and we're expecting Hanna to hit our area this afternoon! I have to get my luggage out today and air it out. I'm so looking forward to too much food on this trip...it'll probably be the only time we'll do the dining plan so we're going to try every place we can.

thanks and yes we are fast approaching that mark, I don't think you'll have to start a new one b/f you leave b/c I think you'll still be here. Hope your DNs' enjoyed there first days too! Wow, only 8 more days

.
Happy Saturday All
MagiKitty - You should come visit me today...it's a little cool (low 70s) but the sun is shining.
So we're planning an afternoon in the pool, then cocktails at a friend's cottage

then steak on the grilled at another friend's place. The perfect day...made even better 'cause I'm not cookin'.
Happy Sunday, but it sounds like you had a perfect Saturday

.
Just doing a quick post to say hello, HELLO! I hope everyone has a good weekend.
Hi, Pikester, hows it going???
Where IS everyone?? The chatty group has gotten quiet all of a sudden!
OOH, peaches and ice cream sounds YUMMY!
Hannah has definitely arrived. The wind has really picked up, and it's pouring. Really dark out too. i hope it isn't too bad out when I have to leave at 5 for a party! I'm cooking up a big ol' pot of sauce with lots of veggies and turkey, ground beef, and chicken sausage. It smells SO good in my house!!
MMMMM, I can smell it here!!!
It is raining something terrible around these parts. Started shortly about noon, just a drizzle, and now is just pourin. We have a flood watch.
I have an announcement! I am awaiting the arrival of the mail order husband for Hazel Roomba! I managed to find a refurb Scooba, and his name is Jacques. Hazel is a pretty pearly white, while Jacques is a dusty blue. They'll be so happy together. If they happen to procreate, I'll be sure to send out the Baby Roobas out to all the TKers.
Since the valet incident, I've received several kind PMs from other Dis'ers about my dilemma. Seems they too are afraid of getting flamed for a somewhat controversial viewpoint re: valet. Its so nice to share with others and have a positive response.
Salad and sandwiches here tonight. Just too lazy in this kind of weather.
We went through the same, rain and then downpours.
Explain, please two Roobas???? Was the first one lonely?, Is one for upstairs and the other down??? Did you need back up b/c of animal hairs??? Do tell how is it with animal hair??
Okay more to catch up with but darn these people in this house need to eat?
