poncho and sneakers. I can see you running around WDW in just a poncho and sneakers (I hope it's not clear) :rotfl2:

I got my poncho from Disney shopping. Its not clear, but opaque, and blue in color. Its also super long, so it may look like I'm wearing ONLY a poncho and sneakers--which would be really scary! Now that I think about it, I was going to bring my red sneakers, but if its just the poncho and nothing else, I should bring the blue ones and at least match! :rotfl2:

Morning! Racetrack, its absolutely too early to think like this! I know I have favorite quotes, I just can't think of any right now. Need more coffee! I'll have to get back to you on this...

I just read a story in the newspaper about how lots of Florida real estate is being bought up by Canadians because of the weak dollar. The first line was about how a guy goes in a bar and orders a Bloody Caesar! How funny is that!

That's why I'm doing wrong...I should be drinking my Caesar in my condo in Florida that's I'm suppose to be buying!! :lmao:

Yes! Ev you should be using that strong Canadian dollar to buy real estate--so we can come visit you!

Its the perfect storm of bankruptcy for me. I just ordered Jacques last week, I'm leaving for Disney next week, and BF just found a Wii at Target! We've been looking forever...and NOW its around? I told him to get it, I'll pay him back. I look at it as a health investment (there's that justification again)...I'll exercise while playing games! Anyone have one? Recommendations for the fat and lazy? :rotfl2:

Night!!! See ya tomorrow!

You guys keep coming up with excuses to make the junk food healthier. At least I won't feel so guilty while I'm in Disney eating all this stuff. :lmao:

Oh, honey, i am the QUEEN of excuses for food! Trust me on this one!

we decided my mom's chocolate chip cookies (the worlds best!!) are a complete, balanced meal.

a) butter is dairy
b) sugar comes from cane, which is a plant, and therefore a vegetable
c) eggs are protein
d) flour comes from wheat and is therefore a grain
e) chocolate comes from cocoa beans, beans are a vegetable

So, you get a dairy, a protein, a grain and 2 veggies in one compact, tasty package!! Wash that sucker down with a glass of wine (grapes are fruit..) or juice and you are all set!!

Ok, I am totally bored right now so in honor of M&N and her random questions, I have one for everyone. I saw it on the CB earlier but what is your favorite movie quote?

Oh, this one is easy! I have 2:

From Shrek (Shrek to Donkey, who is questioning the origin of the horrible smell)--"If it was me, you'd be dead!" (I've had Gastric Bypass--'nuff said!!):lmao:

From Gone With The Wind (Scarlet)--"'ll worry about that tomorrow!" (My motto!)

OMG, MagiKitty is a FLASHER?!?!?!:scared1: :lmao:

I have one and I LOVE it!!! All sorts of good games. They have Wii Sports, which has golf, bowling, stuff like that, which is pretty active. But the best of all is WiiFit. Tons of great exercises on there, and you can track your weight and fitness minutes too. I LOVE my WiiFit!!!!

If it helps with the justification, our local schools have done away with Hot Dog Days...according to the local health officials they are bad for you, even when we offered to use All Beef or Chicken dogs on whole wheat buns. When we ask what they recommended as a replacement they suggested sundaes :scratchin Explain that one???

We decided to add bananas and make splits, 'cause as Mom's we just couldn't see how ice cream was healthy...but they're the experts. :lmao:

Oh and when I buy my condo with all the $ I've got hidden under the bed you guys are more than welcome to come visit. ;)

I love the Wii fit too...especially like watching DD do the hula hoop she puts everything into swing those hips

Sadly enough, I have flashed before, however unintended. The most embarrassing would have to be at a rest stop. I was wearing my BF's sweatpants, the kind that you tie at the waist. I had forgotten to tie it securely, and as we were walking out, my pants fell down! Fortunately, I was wearing a long tee, but still! And to make it worse, my travelling companions (former BF included) just laughed and took off! We were on our way to DC, and let me tell you, the rest of the ride was NOT fun!

Oh goody re: Wii. Now I have to look for a Wii Fit??? It'll have to wait until after I get back from Disney. Are they easier to find? Does the Wii sports have tennis? That's the one I see on TV, and it looks so cute!

Banana splits were definitely the way to go! :thumbsup2

Well, I totally agree that hot dogs are not healthy. They are pure, unadulterated garbage!! But sundaes??? Ummmm, not much sense there!

Gosh miss a day and look at all these pages.

disney54us-are you using your superior computer skills again? :rotfl2: Teach us all how to type a word and have the smilie appear. I'm glad DS had a good day at school. And for DD, you are right that she just has to be more aware of her surroundings. Not that public schools are bad just different. Glad she found some people she knows there.
Yes, and since you made me my TK'er LGMH I would tell you how to do that, it I only new:confused3 :lmao:. Yes, it's not that its bad but different, sorta like when she would go to the City w/DN and DN would have to say you can't be texting and crossing here, they will run you over. Yeilding to Pedestrian's doesn't happen here.

I leave on the 23rd and that's 78 days away. And no, I didn't know that off the top of my head. I had to go make one of those countdown tickers that show the days. :lmao:

I don't have anything else to really plan anymore. I'm trying to not make alot of plans and just go with the flow this year. I have a few rides we have to do but I really want to spend some time exploring this year.
:thumbsup2 glad to here you didn't overplan, sometimes we just have to let the magic happen. Of course for ADR's I need to move it, move it.

disney54us - We have two school which are "twinned". One does Junior kindergarten - Grade 3 and the other Grade 4 - 8. The actual BBQ takes place at the younger ones school but then both school are open to tour & meet the teacher after everyone eats.

Love that idea, sounds like fun and a great welcome/welcome back.

Friday used to be "whatever" night here too--often pizza. Yes, they do eat what they make (if they like it, and they usually do), so alot of times they aren't real hungry at dinnertime. And the party was grownups only--they were here at home while I went! And no food there for me anyway.

Tomorrow night I have a surprise birthday party to go to, so I won't be having dinner at home. I'd totally forgotten! Oh well, they can have the spaghetti, and I'll have some Sunday when they are with their father...

Oh, didn't know the party was for the adults, then yep you were in a time jam. Spaghetti, works have fun at the party.

Most of our ADRs are at the resorts where we're staying except for Sci Fi, CRT (girls only) & Chef Mickey's...oh and DH & I are going to celebrate my birthday at Narcoossee's. (Kids will go to the Neverland Club)

CRT???? gee I still don't get these abbr. sometimes. Love Narcoossee's, haven't been in a few, very nice if your there during MK's fireworks, just step outside and they use to pipe the music in. What part of the poly are you staying in??? Even though we're DVC, that is one of our fav's. First, two trips with DD (DS was just a star in the sky). We stayed there in the concierge bldg. We still stay there with our DVC pts, though some would never think of using there pts like that I bought knowing I could stay there.

We're doing Sci-Fi for the first time this year. I am burnt out on doing character meals from the last 2 years. But I still wanted something that looked like fun for the kiddos. DH and I were planning a night out to go to PI but now they are closing. :sad1: I still have to figure out what else we can do. My stepsis is going with us and she said she would watch the kids one night so we could go out.
Couples night out:cool1:, glad to hear step sis is still going. Mmm here's a few suggestions depending on what you like. You could, have dinner a really nice place that with a family would be to costly. PI may be closed but if your looking for music and dancing swing on over to the Boardwalk. The Poly has a bar/rest. w/ music at night. Cal. Grill beautiful views sit in the lounge area get a window seat/couch and enjoy maybe have a appetizer.
You could head over to Epcot, if you don't want to have a actually 'formal' dinner stroll the countries and most have outside stands that you can buy a taste of this a taste of that. Think of it like a Tappas except your eating your way through the word:lmao:. DH likes to try some of the beers from Japan and China, I like trying the wines in Italy. Of course maybe finish off w/ Champagne in france and past the restaurant and down the path is a wonderful pastry shop. Remember I'm not that into desserts and it gets to me. I was in France when I was 15 and this the real thing. they have outdoor tables set up and you can get coffee or go french have dessert and Champagne, live it up. You guys can relax and take in illuminations. Okay there's a few.

Good morning! While I was too busy to log on yesterday, you guys were full on chatty! So how did the school week go on for everyone? I'm going to talk to my little niece and nephew today to find out how their first days went.

disney54us...no problem about the next thread's title. That's the kind of input I was looking for, and something for all of us to think about as the dreaded 250 pages approaches (rather quickly I think!).

Ev, your DD and Brody are just so darn cute! OMG!

Just little over a week until my trip! Its grey and gloomy here already. I thought Hanna had already passed coz it rained so hard last night! Then I turn on the news and we're expecting Hanna to hit our area this afternoon! I have to get my luggage out today and air it out. I'm so looking forward to too much food on this trip...it'll probably be the only time we'll do the dining plan so we're going to try every place we can.

 thanks and yes we are fast approaching that mark, I don't think you'll have to start a new one b/f you leave b/c I think you'll still be here. Hope your DNs' enjoyed there first days too! Wow, only 8 more days:banana:.

Happy Saturday All

MagiKitty - You should come visit me today...it's a little cool (low 70s) but the sun is shining. :sunny:

So we're planning an afternoon in the pool, then cocktails at a friend's cottage :beach: then steak on the grilled at another friend's place. The perfect day...made even better 'cause I'm not cookin'. ;)

Happy Sunday, but it sounds like you had a perfect Saturday:goodvibes.

Just doing a quick post to say hello, HELLO! I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Hi, Pikester, hows it going???

Where IS everyone?? The chatty group has gotten quiet all of a sudden!

OOH, peaches and ice cream sounds YUMMY!

Hannah has definitely arrived. The wind has really picked up, and it's pouring. Really dark out too. i hope it isn't too bad out when I have to leave at 5 for a party! I'm cooking up a big ol' pot of sauce with lots of veggies and turkey, ground beef, and chicken sausage. It smells SO good in my house!!

MMMMM, I can smell it here!!!

It is raining something terrible around these parts. Started shortly about noon, just a drizzle, and now is just pourin. We have a flood watch.

I have an announcement! I am awaiting the arrival of the mail order husband for Hazel Roomba! I managed to find a refurb Scooba, and his name is Jacques. Hazel is a pretty pearly white, while Jacques is a dusty blue. They'll be so happy together. If they happen to procreate, I'll be sure to send out the Baby Roobas out to all the TKers.

Since the valet incident, I've received several kind PMs from other Dis'ers about my dilemma. Seems they too are afraid of getting flamed for a somewhat controversial viewpoint re: valet. Its so nice to share with others and have a positive response.

Salad and sandwiches here tonight. Just too lazy in this kind of weather.

We went through the same, rain and then downpours.
Explain, please two Roobas???? Was the first one lonely?, Is one for upstairs and the other down??? Did you need back up b/c of animal hairs??? Do tell how is it with animal hair??

Okay more to catch up with but darn these people in this house need to eat?:confused3

Hey everybody.:hippie:

SHMU and Magikitty- You guys are getting so close!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Packed and ready.
Leaving Thursday.

Wow...looking at everyone's tickers and listening to all your trip anticipation / reports, makes me wish we were going back soon. I feel like I'm the only one w/o a trip planned. :sad1:
But you are going. You are even packed in my suitcase.:lmao:

A photo of Brody & DD.

ADORABLE:)
Anybody notice the scary ads at the bottom of the page aren't so scary anymore? They took off those awful pictures. Maybe someone complained?
I notced. So glad it's gone.

I hope the future huricanes don't affect our Flat TKers trip to WDW. Magikitty and Shmu - you pray hard for :sunny: (or make some tiny ponchos for us:) )
All protected with contact paper. Self stick poncho.:lmao:

Ok, I am totally bored right now so in honor of M&N and her random questions, I have one for everyone. I saw it on the CB earlier but what is your favorite movie quote?
Big Fat Greek Wedding---Let me tell you something, Toula. The man is the head, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants.

poncho and sneakers. I can see you running around WDW in just a poncho and sneakers (I hope it's not clear) :rotfl2:
I'm glad I had swallowed my drink before I read this.:lmao: :lmao:

We are a creative bunch with all the fantastic name ideas.
Sounds like a lot of wet weather for a lot of you.
None here and we need it.

I have owned two Roombas, but I gave the older model to my sister. I just ordered a Scooba, which mops and dries floors, while the Roomba is just a vaccuum. Hazel Roomba does AMAZING with pet hair, which was the primary reason for my getting her. I was constantly sweeping! I run the Roomba almost everyday, and I have to clear her after every use. Its just a matter of sliding the bin out and dumping everything in the garbage. Let me tell you--there's so much hair in there! I call it "finding kittens". Its really fantastic. Its totally changed my life.

Oh I forgot to tell you about the Yellow Daisy Festival we went to on Friday.
We had a lot of fun but we wished we actually had money to spend.
Saving for trip in a few days.
We did buy some fudge. Orange cream, chocolate mint, bubble gum, chocolate covered cherries, and peanut butter and chocolate flavors.
There were so many flavors to chose from. They sell them in little wrapped squares so you can mix and match.

I need to look into this technology. Sounds great.
Looks like Ike won't be affecting us on our trip last time I checked.:thumbsup2

I know! Say No to Ike! And Josephine seems to have disappeared too!

Took me a while to figuring all the anagrams out...I spent ALOT of time on the dining thread before I made my ADR and that's all they use. CRT is Cinderella's Royal Table...DD and I are going to go for lunch (she is going to the BBB first so she'll look the part princess: )

Our ressie at Narcoossee's is 7:40 and Wishes is a 9:00 so we should be able to watch.

We have a garden view room booked at Poly and I requested either Tahiti or Fiji longhouses.
