For the "fantasy" trip to Disney.... after a long, fun day at MK I'd retire back to my MK facing room at the Contemporary Resort and watch the fireworks.

I said I had it not that I made it. Remember I'm the foodie not the deserty. From what I remember I don't think it was too complicated, I also posted it on the recipe board I go on. I'll get it later for you really truly need to go and think of dinner.

EV - How did you make yours and add it to your avitar?

I saved the blank one into my pictures and then used the paint program to add my name, and resaved. Then I went to UserCP and clicked on edit avatar on the left, scroll down until you come to custom avatar and option 2. Click on the browse button and you should be able to find your saved LGMH, click on it and then push save changes. Hope that all makes sense.

Disney54us - Greek Pasta is one of my simple stand-bys. Boil pasta (I used whole wheat rigatoni but doesn't really matter. I find shapes rather than long thin pasta works better) When the pasta is done & draining I pour a bit of olive oil in the pasta pot and saute some tomato/grape tomatoes for about a minute. Add oregano, sliced black olives and cook another minute until warm. Add the pasta back in and crumble feta on top. Sprinkle with parmesan and voila 20 min dinner.

Ok, I need some other minds on something. A while back I posted about my dilemma re: WL and MK. I felt resigned to park at TTC and just go back and forth. So I thought about it today, that WL has valet parking, stated as $10 per day.

So, can I pay for valet early one morning and take the ferry from WL to MK for the day and take the ferry back to meet our Wishes cruise? Our car would have been parked in one place all day.

I posted on the diabilities board coz it gets sticky that way. Valet is free for handicapped guests--but I'm not trying to NOT pay for valet. I'll gladly pay for valet if I can spare BF the discomfort of parking at TTC, walking to the ferry/monorail, and then walking to MK. And then back again to go to WL later that day. (We rent wheelchairs at the park). I was told (not too nicely I thought) that I could not park with valet for more than 3 hours if I wasn't staying at WL.

I just called Disney and the CM said that the fee was per day and that I shouldn't have an issue. But now I'm scared that the car will get towed.

So, what's everyone's take on the terms "valet parking $10/day?" Here's my thing. If $11 gets you all day parking at the parks, shouldn't $10 valet also cover all day?

Who told you the 3 hour rule?...I tend to believe the CM that if you pay for the day it's all day. I can't believe they would tow a car from a handicapped spot anyways. Do you have some sort of decal or sticker to identify you as needing a handicap spot. I'm not sure about the rules in Florida put I know here they aren't allowed to tow a car if it's got a handicap sticker.

Yeah, my BF has a handicapped tag and we're bringing it on vacation with us.

I've read that people are allowed to park at other resorts only for 3 hours--but I thought that was free parking, like if you were going to eat at a resort restaurant.

If you have a handicapped tag, valet is complimentary, which is really cool. Some of those handicapped lots are still really far! So I usually drive up to the checkin area, drop BF off and go park in the handicapped lot. But this past visit I learned that valet is free.

The thing is, the TTC even with handicapped parking is still really inconvenient. I've read that taking the bus is easier, coz it drops you off at MK. But the Wishes cruise messes things up.

BTW...I'm totally stealing that greek pasta recipe! It sounds so yummy!

MagiKitty-I have never heard that about valet parking. I've researched this same thing myself because we are going to Old Key West for dinner one night and want to maybe go over to DTD too. Everything I have read on here and other sites, say that the 3 hour parking limit is for the guest lot at the resorts. Valet is one price for the entire day.

Wendy be careful with the Ambien, you know you can take a Benadryl, they use that in hospitals sometime to make patients sleepy.
Racer I love it, maybe we can use it in our avitar, or put it in our siggie, the sky's the limit.

I tried Benadryl the other night and didn't get much sleep anyway. That's usually what I do, but this time it really didn't help. I won't take the Ambien on a regular basis--just after a night like last night where I got <4 hours.

Okay Principal of DS's school just called me back. Left message for her this morning. She said she would call over and leave a message for the teacher and make the 'special's' aware including the recess monitor's, so they can keep a eye out.
She said she was glad that I called and that they like to be aware of problems.
So we'll see if not I'll call the meany brigade.
I have so wasted this day doing well alot of Dising, that's okay?Right?

Teacher just called me. she thought the message that was left from principal also wanted her to call me. Seems very nice, the good news is meany boy is not in his class he's going into 4th they still have lunch and recess together but at least my DS doesn't have to spend 6 hrs a day with him.

What's everyone doing for dinner??? have no clue, it's the night b/f school should make a nice dinner but we can all see how motivated I am

Wow, that's GREAT! Seems like everyone is in the loop now, so hopefully that will help.

Well, dinner was 2 hours ago, but we had burgers on the grill with slices of fresh JERSEY tomatoes, and JERSEY corn on the cob. Gotta enjoy it while we can. The cherries are already gone. BOO HOO!!

WOW!! That sounds YUMMY!!! I might just make that for tomorrow night! I think I could add some cut up chicken to mine for extra protein. Hmmmmm...

Ok! Thanks so much for the reassurance. I'm going to valet all day and spare poor BF some of the walking. (Ev, my BF has CP and has to use crutches, just to get you up to speed). His poor hands and feet are so blistered after a day at the parks!

whgrn...I'm with you about the fresh produce! I'm totally addicted to fresh corn, but sadly, I have this strange allergy to the seed coats of tomato seeds. So I can have processed tomatoes, but fresh tomatoes totally make me itch! (Bring on that benadryl for me...). I miss the cherries too! They were really good this year!

Ok, I gotta get out of here, but I'll be back on later!
