It's only been 2 weeks for us!!!! How can boys get bored that fast? And do we have to solve everything by fighting or wrestling????
DS10 likes to wind up DS7 and then DS7 is the one that gets in trouble. DS10 always has to have the last word and sometimes I just want to thump him! (Not that I would just that I think about it.)I told BF about the Flat-TKers and he just doesn't get it. And since I'm the picture-taker, he asked if that means he'll be the one in the pics with all the Flat-ones!
Racetrack and M&N....I so look forward to opening the computer every morning and seeing what you two were up to the night before, Its hugely amusing and so glad to see the camraderie you two have developed.
I had such a hard time making a decision! I had been looking at the 8gb nanos which come in great colors but my DH had been looking at the 4gb which comes only in silver.(I really don't need the 2000 songs but wanted to be able to have a cool color.) Once I started looking at the refurbished nanos the 4gb silver was $99 with free shipping but the 8gb which came in pink, green, silver, black, blue was $149.99. What to do! What to do! After doing some more research, I found out that I could get skins or covers for the nano. Cool! I decided to order the silver 4gb and make it whatever color or design I wanted. Probably more information then you wanted so....
I got silver. Thanks for asking!![]()
Racetrack and M&N - I'm curious about Tony too. Although, did you hear Newman might be changing team too? He's my FILs favorite, so we're all waiting to see. I don't think it matters too much to the fans b/c they tend to be loyal to the driver, but it sure is funny when it messes up the rivalries (ie - Jr. fans not being able to boo Gordon anymore.)
Pepper - Too funny about your Dad... I think I like "lady w/ the funny name." I might have to add it to my siggie.
Bye!
I don't handle change very well. I still see Bud and want to cheer.
............Vent over........

We had our last day of school this past Friday (June 20th) and they are already driving me nuts! My DS7 has developed an attitude over the last couple of months and I'm not sure how I am going to get it out of him! Atleast when he was at school the teacher had to deal with it and not me.DS10 likes to wind up DS7 and then DS7 is the one that gets in trouble. DS10 always has to have the last word and sometimes I just want to thump him! (Not that I would just that I think about it.)
See, I'm thinking of y'all all the time!
That is too funny. I don't think I could have sat there quietly while listening to her. I need to send the link about the condiment lady to SIL. She could use a laugh.
I saw your post on the "CB is different" thread. Very well said.

but something is wacky. Was going to try to figure oout how to do this catch up, either tried to update and go back and read or read and
to my horror we are almost at page 80, I think a few days back we were in the late 40's chatty we have been
. Well it took me so long to sign on I don't have the energy for either
so I will try again tomorrow.
I'm sorry to hear this about your DS. Don't you just hate it when the ped. won't listen to a mother's instinct? Nothing as serious as this, but I have brought things up to our ped. and been dismissed. I just know when something isn't right, you know what I mean. I know what you mean about trying to save. It seems the more I am able to save, the more the money disappears for other things. It really discourages me sometimes.
Hey Killers, tried signing on and either it's my computer or the boardsbut something is wacky. Was going to try to figure oout how to do this catch up, either tried to update and go back and read or read and

Missed you around here.
Don't try to catch up. Just try to jump back in. Just update us on what you have been doing and we'll fill you in along the way.
M&N & lighttech-I am watching the Stewart possible team change more than anything right now. The last I read about it, if Stewart leaves, Zippy might not go with him. Maybe it's just me, but I can't imagine those 2 not together. I used to like Newman but then he and Rusty (my all time fav) had those problems. In my biased opinion, Penske has gone down hill since Rusty retired.
M&N-Wow, it was more crowded today than it was on Sunday. I know on the website, they advertise how the weekends are much more crowded. Maybe people are paying atttention to that and going during the week.I saw your post on the "CB is different" thread. Very well said.
I agree with alot of your points. New threads need to be started. Maybe I"ll do that. But there are alot of questions that should have been answered. I "know" of quite a few posters who emailed the webmasters and never got an answer from them. And if some posters know what is happening on the other site, they must be lurking there too. I thought that was against the "rules" now? Why aren't those posters banned for being "spectators"?![]()
Ok, everyone. I"m going to start a totally miscellaneous fluff thread. Someone posted "If you start it (the thread), they will come". Let's see if it's true. What should I post about? Any ideas?
Good evening all.
I really need to come in here and vent a little. I took DS10 to his pediatrician today. His feet have been bothering him on and off over the last year or so. His feet have always looked funny to me. I have even brought it to the pediatrician's attention before, maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I can't quite remember what he said but I do remember that there wasn't much concern. Well, today I found out that he more then likely has Pronated Feet. It's along the same line as Flat Feet. Here is a picture (1st pic shown) http://www.andorrapediatrics.com/ap_folders/hand-outs/knowledge/pronation.htm You can see how the arches kind of bulge down towards the floor. The really hurt DS10 when he runs. I got a referral to an Ankle/Foot Surgeon that the Dr. recommended. I went right over and made an appt for DS10 on the first available date being July 16th. I mentioned to the receptionist that my sons Dr. said that he may need an orthotic (a device placed in your shoe to help you with support). Unlike the generic ones that you buy in a store, he may need a custom made orthotic IF his feet are bad enough. She gave me a brochure on orthotics and hi-lited in it where it says that a custom orthotic is $375.00! She also mentioned that they are not covered by insurance so they would ask for a none refundable fee of $187.50. It just never seems to end! I just spent $413.60 (my portion not covered by Insurance)for DS7 to have fillings in his teeth. Why when we are trying to save money does it seem like we are having situations come up where we need to spend more! Totally frustrating!
Vent done.
So, how are all of you this fine evening? We had a beautiful day here in NH. I was able to hang out two loads of laundry and I actually felt like doing housework. Sunny skies, warm breeze, windows open! Who can feel crabby for too long on a day like today!
Pikester-You just vent away to us.I'm sorry to hear this about your DS. Don't you just hate it when the ped. won't listen to a mother's instinct? It was pretty nice here too. Only in the lower 80's which certainly beats the heat wave we hade a couple of weeks ago. DH is slowly getting rid of the piles of stuff I am decluttering so I'm feeling pretty good about that.
I think you were the one who asked about my SIL. I love her, I really do. But she is one strange cookie. She is a waitress (and there is nothing wrong with that) and has always been a waitress. But within 2 months time, she wanted to become a model, buy a deli and go to cosmatology school because the were all her lifelong dreams. That's not including the time she wanted to buy a pet monkey.![]()
