MY BOYFRIEND IS AN IDIOT!!!

Sorry, I just had to get it out there. He lost his wallet, with his credit cards and license in it. I know I should be sympathetic and supportive, but we're leaving in 18 days! He needs his license to get on the plane! We need his credit cards for dining tips...this was the deal we struck. I would pay for the Wishes cruise and for CRT, and he would cover all the tip over the course of the vacation.

So now, he has to scramble...he's going to DMV to try to get a new license (because he doesn't have a passport either, which I told him to do), call and cancel his credit cards, and get new ones sent out. It'll be close, but I think we'll be covered.

I need to get him one of those wallets on a chain. He wears his pants baggy and doesn't feel anything going on in the caboose. So he lost his wallet and didn't even realize it! (I'm not going to even go into the nice wallet that I had gotten him for his birthday....)

On the upside, he says all the more reason to go to the outlets, he can look for a new wallet. I think he's just trying to make me feel better and not yell at him so much.

I just compared travmatix and mapquest for directions to see my investment people. Mapquest was 22 miles and 40 min and travmix was 32 miles and 48 min. Neither went the way I want to go. I'm just afraid I'll mess it up. I've only been there 2 times...it was a year ago. How am I supposed to remember that? I think I know the back way but if I make a mistake, I'll really be lost. I do not know that area at all. I'm not sure if the back way comes out at the right road to follow the other directions.

In this day and time, I only hope he lost his wallet and an honest person finds it rather than someone stealing it. My friend who works at the Character store in Orlando said they have had 2 ladies purses gotten into with a knife while the lady had it on in the store! Don't be too easy on him though...make him suffer for upsetting you and your vacation dream and hard planning...

Oh Magikitty guess it's karma you'll be at the Coach outlets they should have some very nice ones to pick from. All kidding aside, I'm sure if you explain to the credit card co. that you are leaving in 18 days they will expedite has a new one issued and may sent it Fed Ex at no additional charge. If one was Amex, the are very customer friendly.

M&N I say go the old fashion way, look at the map and use the net to plan.

M&N...can you call the place you're going to and ask them for directions? Maybe they'll use a landmark that you'll recognize. I'm so much better by visuals than by street names.

I used Mapquest to get to Scranton once and it took me into La-La-oh-so-scary land. With no cell phone service! I just get the old atlas out and highlight my way around...Its easier for me to figure it out than "take a left and drive 7.35 miles then turn slightly right". Huh? I've given up on Mapquest!

OMG 5 pages in just over a day!! We have some chatty Cathy's here (I won't name names, but their initials are RACETRACK and M&N!!)

Well, I've decided I'm NOT taking the kids to DL next summer, or anywhere else. They have been just awful, esp. DS, and we even had to come home early from Cape May becuase I'd just had enough of their garbage! So now I'm planning another trip to Scotland for ME (while they go to sleep away camp again!) they had me so upset last night I actually ate M&Ms and fudge! And I NEVER do that anymore! Thankfully, it didn't mess up the scale--I managed to lose 1.2 pounds in Cape May! I'm also canceling our November trip to Turks and Caicos. Turns out the new stuff at Beaches won't open until January 20, so what's the point? And with their behavior? FORGET IT! I'll tentatively reschedule for Easter break, but DS may be sitting this one out. Only time will tell!


How can you people even live with yourselves?!? A POX on the RedSOX!! The Yankees are the best team ever in baseball. Yes, they stink out loud this year, because Steinbrenner (who I agree is a horse's hind end!) was dumb enough to get rid of Joe Torre. And yes, they are spoiled brats. I stay at Fairfield Inn outside Savannah. It's only me driving and I don't want to go too long. I probably could go a little bit longer but don't push it. I think it was around 5 hrs from there. I left around 5 am though to get around DC by 7. I've never gotten reservations ahead. There's at least 4 hotels at that exit.
I'm going Nov 5 so I can vote before going. It'll be Patrick's (my jeep) 3rd trip down. He wants to wear his turkey Mickey ears antenna topper. I'm packing his Pilgrim hat in case one gets stolen. Cannot have a naked Patrick! I'm also taking Pal Mickey. With luggage restrictions, I don't think he would fit in my carryon so I'm glad I'm driving.

Hey, the 30th sounds good to me too. I picked that day too.

Good Morning...

I hear you talking about having ressies at Sci-Fi in Hollywood Studios. We ate there many moons ago (1998ish) and LOVED IT. We had ressies at lunch time back when you could make ressies at the park keyosk. Now you have to plan it years in advance. Anyway, wanted to post a pic of our experience.

This is my dear departed Dad, Mom,(front seat) myelf and DH (in the back seat). It's hard to see because it was so dark in there, but you do get to sit in actual cars w/ mini tables inside. They play some cheezy sci-fi movie where aliens eat people, etc. But it was sooo much fun. Unless it has changed drastically, everyone w/ ressies here will have a blast.

Bopsmom - We need a first day of school pic of you in your "adult" shoes. Glad everything is going well. Teaching is soooo exhausting though. When you posted the Spanish quote it made me think of you as Peggy Hill from King of the Hill. Are you a substitute Spanish teacher too?

MagiKitty-I feel for you about the lost wallet. DH has lost so many that I just want to glue it to his forehead. He even has one of those ones on a chain and managed to break the little clip that goes on the belt loop. I know (from experience) that our DMV will issue a new license right on the spot. Our bank also does that with our debit cards. Like was said, if you explain the situation to the cc company, they should be willing to help you.

M&N-you could also check yahoo maps for directions. I don't use travmatix for the directions...just the exit info.

If I recall we ate burgers or some type of sandwich. I thought it was good. Didn't have a milkshake, but wish I had.

The movie they play is rather cheezy but I thought the atmosphere in there was great!!!

Great pic D&D. It looks so neat inside. Go for the atmosphere even if the food is only so so. Those cheezy sc fi movies are a riot. I always liked the original King Kong movie the best. There was another large ape movie but I cannot remember it's name????

I have directions from the place for when you get to a certain route number but I wanted a back way to get there. I have PA map somewhere. I'm going to compare Yahoo too. Thanks...

The last place that BF remembers having the wallet was at the doctor's office, and he already called there to see if someone had found it. No one. He's already gone to the DMV and suprisingly there were no lines and they told him he should have his new license by the end of next week. He's alreadu spoken to the credit card companies and they're mailing new ones out, so even with the holiday, we should be ok.

I swear, I'm going to suture that wallet to his hip. And he can never poke fun at my enormous purse, because at least I can't lose it! (and he also makes me carry everything he doesn't have room in his jeans for).

M&N...that story of the knife and the purses is really scary!

I knew I should not have signed off last night. I should have known Racetrack had it in her head to change her siggie and she couldn't wait. I love the way your trip tick changes pics. The other change is good too...the flaming 18 showed up more than the little pic!

--We can plan one...Let's pretend money is no object. First we need to decide where to stay. I haven't visited a lot of resorts but I loved the Boardwalk at Christmas. I also went in the Yacht Club's lobby and walked around outside. So everybody, pick a hotel...it has to be a delux one.

Free money! I was surprised to see a settlement check in the mail today. I had been notified that someone was suing American Express and that I may be eligible for monies if the company should settle. Fine. Whatever. and then today....my check is for nearly $400! Woo-hoo! That pays off my portion of the trip!

I'm no longer mad at my BF. I still love him. Even if he can't seem to keep track of a wallet!

This is what has happened

Had to decide to not do Universal Studios. Just don't have the extra money for the tickets. Kids were a little disappointed but understand.

We are suppose to see my nephew on the way down. I have been trying ALL week to get a hold of him to set up a time. No answers. I was getting worried. FINALLY got a hold of him this afternoon. He has been working 12 hour shifts. Our meet time is all set.

Discovered that some friends of ours kids are going to be at Disney same time as us. They are going with grandparents. We are going to meet up with them the first Saturday we are there. That will be fun but it also means I have to cancel our ADR's to the Yak & Yeti. I'm just going to play it by ear when we are there about where to use our TS credits for that meal. Might just do CS and get the extra stuff they are offering. Thanks Pepper for sharing that info.

Since Pleasure Island is closing Disney added to our package free golf at the small course. DH and DS have decided they are going to take a day and play golf since we are not doing Universal. That means GIRL DAY for me and DD.

Just a lot of details to take care of but I think it's all about covered.
