Bump! I've always wanted to do that to a thread...even though it is bugging. I guess that's my mood for today.
I had to get Patrick a physical today. He's my Jeep Liberty. Waited 2 hours...but now I know he's ready to go to Orlando in 2 weeks.
Shmu-Glad you're organized. I teased the only thing that kept me organized was the Dewey Decimal System...and now that I'm retired... I have gotten drawers for my scrapbooking stuff. I have attention deficite housecleaning! No cure that I know of---coming here definitely does not help. I guess all you thread killers are enablers.
Shouldn't the WDW travelers be back soon???? Hope they are excited about our thread growth. I'm sure they have lots to share!
I got to my DM's every weekend so talk to you Monday.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to check in...didn't want this thread to die! I'm getting ready to go to Florida (not Disney though ). Hope everyone is doing well. It may be a while before I can post again because I'll be gone for a week, but I hope that everyone continues to keep this thread thriving!

hey everyone,
well, i did it! i sent our luggage via fed ex this morning.
here's the lowdown for those interested
3 bags = $51 1 bag was 50 lbs the other 2 were around 25-30lbs.

i was there around noon and he said they'll get to POR on wednesday, which is much faster than we thought, which is why we sent them today. i could have had another 2 days to get this done!!!!!! well i guess it's ok since it's done now and i don't have to worry about that anymore, right?
maybe i should send a box with the baby's food and formula and stuff. hmmm.

it was cheaper than i thought, i was worried it would be like $100. my sister-in-law get to a point when planning a disney trip - i wonder if any of you do to. it goes like this:

"we should ship our luggage."
"i wonder how much it will cost"
"it could be $50,80,100"
"oh what's the difference at this point, the trip is costing so much already, what's a little more"

does this happen to anyone else? it's a TERRIBLE outlook! especially that i haven't been working since i had my son (18 mos!)! we need to save where we can!!! but you know what i mean, it costs a fortune anyway you do it!

That sounds like a great We always kidded about sending a case of beer down to us but found a place that delivered it to us. But now with the luggage that's cool. Tell us how it works out.

I was and came across this thread. Being a newbe to the boards, I fully understand. I enjoyed all the comments, and it was a nice switch from some heated DVC threads I been on recently. This is warm and fuzy, and can keep going to 'infinity and beyond' (corny, I know, couldn't help myself). For all you Dis'ers going over the next few weeks, I'll live through your trip, usually go 1st or 2nd week of Dec. couldn't get rooms, so I'm living off of trip reports, pictures and everyones excitment getting ready for there trip. Enjoy, and I love this thread!

magsnden - I always ship a box down before hand: my daughter needs some medical supplies; and then things like ponchos, snacks,coffee, suntan lotion. I just sent one UPS - 40pd. box - ground shipping(3 days) = $34. It works great! I usually plan for it to arrive a few days before me so I can call ahead and make sure it got there. Front desk will hold it and deliver it to your room when you check in. They will also provide you with the material to ship things back home if you want. The shipping charge can just be added to your final room bill. I've never had a problem!

Hi all! Haven't been by in a few days! (You may remember me as the Swap Killer) Been really busy working on Christmas gifts and taking care of my still home DH (kidney stones), but next week, he will probably be back to work...

Then all I have to do is make it thru Thanksgiving, decorate for Christmas and finish PACKING! Yes, only 11 days, and boy am I ready. We have had snow and rain and some really cold nights here in Wild Wonderful West Virginia.

I am checking the weather forecast daily and looks like very very cold the morning I fly out of Pittsburgh and very nice (mid 70's) when I get to Orlando and get to ride the 1st monorail at MCO....

Was wondering if any of those who left last week were back and had checked in!

Hey everyone,

I posted a thread that is dying a very quick death! My DD(11) wants to get a set of special drum sticks while we're there (11 days to go!) - she saw a kid at school who said he bought them in Disney World. Any ideas how I can find out where to get them?

I haven't seen your thread, but both my boys were drummers and they got cool drum sticks at the gift shop at the end of Rock N Roller Coaster. Maybe that's it?

still loving this thread! can't wait to hear trip reports from you lucky dawgs who will be there soon. I've spent most of the day Christmas shopping in the cold and wishing I was at WDW. How much Christmas shopping has everyone done? I usually don't start this early but I'm almost finished!

8 days left!! i'm really getting excited!! kind of busy today, i haven't really been on the disboards. we had a birthday party, and all other saturday stuff to do.

i'm very jealous, missingthemouse, that you're almost done with your christmas shopping. i think i've only gotten (i doubt that's correct grammar!) one present so far. i'm really in trouble, since we'll be away for a week. though we do get home on dec 1, so i'll still have a lot of time left - just no money!
btw, i see you're from tennessee. my sister-in-law went to Maryville college. i went to visit once, it was absolutely beautiful.
