Thoughts on Vero Beach?

Bummer, we won't be there on a Monday. Maybe next time. How about the "Unbirthday Party"? Are reservations needed for that?

No reservations through the system, but you have to sign up at the resort. So, we noticed people signing up that morning, for the party that afternoon. We couldn't fit it in, so perhaps someone who has gone through the actual signing up and attending of the unbirthday party will have a bit more info?

We just visited Vero for the first time last month for 2 nights/3 days. We did have a rought start with late check in (room wasn't ready until 4:05), and a weird balcony (closed off, instead of open railings) and a very long trip to Walmart as our GPS was incorrect.

:)

Do you know if all 1BR's views are oceanview? I didn't see where it made a difference in booking. Should I call Member Services and request a certain room or area?

Sorry for the confusion - we stayed in an Inn Room (I'll go and edit my post). It was the smallest balcony I've ever seen, with boards instead of metal railings. It was totally unuseable - we were in the main building, facing the parking lot, but the problem is that it is the smallest space imagineable! DD7 said her closet was bigger than the balcony!

We will book an Inn Room or Studio - Ocean View, next time.

I have read the Vero Adoration thread, followed someone who just had a vacation there who wasn't 100% thrilled with their experience. I have take what they posted and plan to use it to enhance my trip. Broken shells cutting and scraping feet...I guess that means we WILL pack our water shoes....

Oh... Denise is a drama queen... You know if she feels a bad review will get her more hits and responses she's willing to do what it takes.

Bring your water shoes, but you won't need them

Just kidding about Denise (edk35)... she's cool, just tender feet. She never takes off her Loeffler Randall's (sleeps in them), but they don't do well in water, so her pearly whites had no chance.

Hey Denise :flower3:

The unbirthday party is usually scheduled twice a week(at least during spring break/Easter when we go). You can only sign up the morning of the party.
