Thoughts on the food tent at Caribbean Beach

We will be staying at CBR in November and I have been read both good and terrible things about the food at the tent they have set up. Wondering what you wonderful folks have experienced. TIA!

It’s been a year since we ate in the tent but the food was homey. The Caribbean inspired meats were great, the rest was pretty vanilla (pasta bar, chicken nuggets, different starches, salads). Good price for what you get though. Quality was typical of WDW. Desserts left the most to be desired.

Eating there once was enough. It’s not a destination nor is it something I cared to repeat with so many other great options outside of CBR.

Thanks, we are having 2 resort days on our stay as well I think we'll have to eat there on arrival night. Just wanting to plan a bit. Maybe Disney Springs will get a a bit more time from us.

Bottom line is you won't know until you try it for yourself.

We think Centertown Buffet is fine especially since it is only a QS Credit!

And without using the Dining Plan it is the cheapest Buffet at WDW.

Like just about anything at WDW,some like it and some don't.

Just wanted to also mention that if you don't want to "risk" the Buffet that Spyglass Grill is now open at Trinidad South and receiving great reviews.

How are they with food allergies in the tent?

We ate breakfast there in December and we loved it. I thought it was better then Garden Grills breakfast. For a QS option it is really great IMO. Not sure about dinner though.

Arrival night, you are sure to find something good to eat if you’re there during regular business hours.

If I were you, I would plan on at least one restaurant meal at a place where you could get decent transport.

How are they with food allergies in the tent?

The only input I can give is that during a visit to Centertown Buffet shortly after it opened,I was at the Drink dispenser and there was a woman in that area talking to a Management CM and she was telling the CM that there was nothing on the Buffet she could eat because of her allergies.

She was EXTREMELY upset.

The CM let her finish talking and IMMEDIATELY went and brought out a Chef to talk to the woman.

Now,I don't know what happened from there,but it did appear they were going to do their best to prepare something for the woman.

I agree but at least they gave an option to the people that were staying there and when I went to breakfast there I did enjoy my breakfast and did not even think twice about eating in a tent. Is it Magical, no but at least it is something that wasn't terrible for us.

While I agree to some extent, it's not like the tent is permanent. It's making the best of bad circumstances. I'm glad they gave some option to eat there and really the food was decent, especially for the low price. We ate there twice when we stayed there in March.
