Thoughts on Sherri Papini?

I looked it up and she did her time in FCI Victorville, which is medium security. I would have thought that she would have been at FCI Dublin.

Just to clarify, I saw more about her stay. FCI Victorville I and II are medium and maximum security prisons for men. But one has a so-called minimum-security "satellite camp" for Women. These are generally where it's a bit more relaxed and there are work opportunities for prisoners, but it's still a prison.

Minimum security institutions, also known as Federal Prison Camps (FPCs), have dormitory housing, a relatively low staff-to-inmate ratio, and limited or no perimeter fencing. These institutions are work- and program-oriented.
A number of BOP institutions have a small, minimum security camp adjacent to the main facility. These camps, often referred to as Satellite Prison Camps (SCPs), provide inmate labor to the main institution and to off-site work programs.

she's writing a book for families in a similar situation??? who besides her own family has been dealt with a wife/mother who concots a bogus kidnapping scheme with an ex boyfriend that includes making her own branding iron to memorialize the event on her body??? and what is the deal with huffing an alcohol soaked rag worn round your neck as a means of calming yourself

those kids need to be kept as far away from that crazy-train as possible.

She's still the mother of the kids and so far I've never heard of her causing them any physical harm. Family courts absolutely hate cutting off all contact with a parent, and I can't see how they would do so in this case.

i read one of the articles linked to the article you posted as well as another about the documentary hulu is doing and so far she's only availed herself to 3 supervised visitations since her release last october (with the dd/the 14 year old son has refused to go after one or two visitations). the father of the children won't force the son ands wants a court psych eval on sherri w/supervised visitations to continue. sherri wants physical custody w/no court supervision. what is striking to me is there are allegations that it's been discovered that preexisting scarring on her body that she had previously attributed the one of her ex's, and then to her father were determined to be self inflicted, and that she did the same soaking of fabric with alcohol/hanging around the neck thing with the kids. that to me is someone who has a potential for seeking attention to the physical detriment of themselves and their children.

Knowing my consumption habits I’ll probably watch the whole Hulu series tomorrow.

And Ditto 👏🏻:

I still can't see a court ruling that she's cut off 100% from contact with her children. But sure if a child doesn't want to go they can't be forced into it either. I haven't found any source that says her kid refused a visit. I absolutely can't imagine that they would actually give her custody. That's clearly not happening even if she's asking for it.

let me know how it is. i'm still a bit worn out from 'six schizophrenic brothers' (which was a facinating watch) and i want to watch the jim jones people's temple documentary.

msn has reported that she's fighting for not only unsupervised visitation but also at least partial physical custody (citing the 'beautiful home' that has more than enough bedrooms for the kids). he's o.k. with weekly phone calls and court monitored visitation but also says he won't force the son to participate. she's asking the court for HIM to pay $30k she's accumulated in legal bills for the custody battle. she's also complaining that she believes he is having the little girl record their monitored visitations on an apple watch.

i think it's a strech for her to regain any kind of unsupervised custody, her background BEFORE the hoax kidnapping is pretty concerning. it's been reported that-

She accused her family of abuse and was a teen runaway. In 2000, her father claimed she burglarized his residence, and her sister reported Sherri kicked in her back door. In 2003, her mother asked the police for help because Sherri was self-harming and trying to blame the wounds on her. Sherri later accused several boyfriends of abuse
Sherri married her first husband for his medical insurance, telling him that she needed it for complications due to regular egg donations, while later telling Keith she had needed it for a heart condition.

this lady needs psychiatric help and her kids need to be mature enough and have the tools to determine when their mom is being truthful.

Again - I can't imagine that she would ever be awarded physical custody. Not even joint physical custody. But there's nothing stopping her from asking for it in court.

Her current housing situation is kind of weird since she has minimal income, but it's being provided at well below market rent by a sugar daddy.

As far as asking for money, California is a community property state and for the most part community assets are supposed to be divided up equally. There are a lot of claims out there that they're either legally divorced or that they're estranged and still waiting for a final divorce decree. I looked it up on the Shasta County Superior Court website - case 22FL-0199572. All I could find was that there was a Notice of Entry of Judgment last year, but not sure what it was. I've at least one claim that it was the judgement that terminated their marriage, but it could be for an intermediate matter such as custody or support while the divorce is pending. Could just be a status update.

In any case, there still seems to be a lot of litigation going in their case. I'm thinking there's the possibility that they're still married and Keith has control of the community property. Sure it sounds pretty bad that she's asking for money, but I understand how it works.

The media is generally reporting that they're "ex-husband" and "ex-wife" or that they're divorced, but that might be a misnomer. Some of the same articles mention that their divorce proceedings are ongoing.

The feds have also been trying to garnish property that they believe she owns and is held by her divorce attorneys. It doesn't say what it is. I've heard some claims that the feds are trying to put a lien on the house she's living in, but that could just be from a mistaken interpretation of what the feds filed here.

Started the new doc this morning and just finished it. Thought it was well done. The revelation about what she was doing to the children is horrifying, but not surprising. This woman was severely mentally ill, I won't say "suffering from mental illness", because she clearly had the resources to get help but at some point made a choice to go down a far darker path. And that it could have ended much worse for those kids. Just a bottomless pit of attention seeking behavior.

from what i've seen the divorce is final but she is fighting over what she did and more importantly did NOT receive financialy. she believes she should have walked away with more INCLUDING a share of the insurance settlement keith received related to the 10/2021 shasta fires.

no spoilers on the docu series (i caved and started watching-i'm on part 2) BUT there are video tapes of keith at the very begining of the disappearance being interviewed by police where he shares that very early in the marriage (pre any kids) he discovered an inappropriate text on her part (potential infidelity) and they discussed divorce but in choosing to stay together he asked for and she agreed to a post nuptial agreement. he continued on to say that after she signed the post-nup they kept all their finances separate with her paying for some things from her earnings and he paying for others. so i'm guessing california's community property laws would be balanced out by whatever she agreed to in the post-nup.

she may have had some advice on the benefits in california of claiming to have some form of earned income as well as NOT being in the position of receiving free housing-

one of her claims FOR custody is that she has a form of income but she still owes over $300,000 for restitution so she does'nt want that income to look any higher then it needs to so being obligated on paper to pay 50% of it in rent works in her favor (if she got free rent from the sugar daddy then the fair market value could be looked to as a source of 'income in kind' for purposes of child support which i don't think she is paying either).

i'm going to keep watching-the interviews from the first days are facinating.

i just finished watching it. i thought it was very well balanced. presented in a very logical and unbiased manner.
she is scary dangerous. i feel so bad for those kids. the altered reality of how they lived their lives based on her lies is horrifying. if any good came of this situation it may be that her children were protected from what sounds like a borderline munchausen syndrome by proxy situation.
