Our trip is this Aug and I have booked Raglan Road for one of our dinners. Any suggestions on meals??
How is the entertainment? thanks!

We loved the Keen eye for Shepherds pie and bread pudding for dessert.
My ds ordered steak and traded it for my Shepherds Pie.\
Dh ordered fish and said it was very good.
We are going in September and will be making ADRs for Raglan road.

I just ate there a few nights ago and had a fabulous meal. I had the Bangers and Mash (soooo good) and my friend had the Jus chicken and raved about it. I can't wait to go again. The soda bread and the dipping sauce are extremely good, I wish they bottled it for sale.
We were there too early for the entertainment so I can't comment on that. But the restaurant is really beautiful. Enjoy your trip :thumbsup2

Raglan Road is pretty much our favorite DD restaurant. First of all, if they don't automatically bring you the Irish soda bread, ask for it! It comes with this great Guinness honey stuff that is sooooo good. We haven't ordered appetizers there, but they seem creative. There is a chicken dish that I particularly enjoy. The food is a good mix of items for those who want to try something new, and items for those who prefer an old stand-by.

We have been in there twice when there was entertainment, both quartets playing traditional Irish music. They also have a woman who does Irish dance on a small stage when the band plays. What I liked was that we could hear the music but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't have a conversation - very good balance.

My Parents & my DS & HIS DG all really liked it here and like the food:thumbsup2

We love Raglan Road! Its a must do each trip and is probably the most anticipated restaurant of our upcoming trip in August. I always get the Fish and Chips.. they have these great "chips". In fact we order just an extra order of them to share. My DD got the mac and cheese last time but I dont recall what else she has gotten. Friends have gotten the bangers and shephards pie... everything is great. The Bread and Butter pudding is to die for. We went once last trip just to eat dessert... yummy. Thats the only dessert we have tried there.
The place is big with lots of little side areas... the band and dancer are in the main room. They are great but we sat right next to the dance platform and it was SOOOO loud we couldnt talk. Last time we ate a little farther back and it was good...

Raglan Road is Great. The entertainment is Fun (Great Guitarist) and the Shepherds Pie is out of this world. Great Restaurant

We ate there on June 3, first timers...if you click on my June link you will see the current menu and food pics and my full review. The food was worse than terrible, horrible and just bad bad bad. The service started out great but then he went MIA for the most of the meal. The music and dancing is great but not a reason for me to give this place a second try

We ate here last Aug. and loved it. We were to early for the entertainment but the food was great, I had fish and chips and hubby, daughter and son-in- law had the steak, grandson had the mac n' cheese. Making it again on our Sept. trip.

Great place to eat and they have great beer. try the it's not bleedin chowder or salmon - both are worth while - fish and chips too

Do you need ADR for Raglan Road? And what time does the entertainement start? I've got a girls evening planned for DTD and thought this might be afun place to stop in, maybe have dinner.

We had a great time at Raglan Road in May. The Shephard's pie was delicous and the Trio of Chocolate desserts was heavenly!!! We also like the entertainment a lot; the band was really fun and upbeat. Highly recommend it!

We ate there last Thursday, and it was terrific. I had Kevin's Ham, and it was the best ham I've ever had. We had an appetizer, but I don't see it on allears.net - I think it was a crab salad or something like that. Very good.

We didn't order dessert because we had a big lunch that day and just weren't that hungry. Maybe next time.

We were seated in a side room off of the main dining room, so we couldn't see the dancer from our table. We could hear the band, though - the were a little too loud for us to make conversation while they played, but they were good.

I had read MickiNicki's review before we went, so I was a little concerned, but I left feeling like the report of Ragland Road's demise had been greatly exaggerated. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Big Irish Bump to Raglan Road!!! My favorite place in Orlando! Food is awesome and the band is good. Dancers are great too!

In fact if you are just drinking beer you can request to be seated right at the dancers stage, just ensure your drink doesn't get "kicked" off the stage! :rotfl:

I wish I could insert some pics direct from pc as I have a bunch of good ones from there.

MrsJD yes you will want an ADR which you can do online I bleieve and think the band starts around 9pm???

Raglan Road is so great that I went twice on my last trip. The bread pudding is just... drooooooool. I also really enjoyed the Celtic Martini. Make sure to request to be in the main room, where all of the action is.

We thought it was ok, but expensive even by Disney standards.

I have been there twice and love it!

Appretizers that we liked were: Colpucinno, Dalkey Duo, Heaven on Earth ribs. The Drunk Chicken appetizer was not that great...very bland.

Dinners that we liked: It's Not Bleedin Chowder - I had this both times and loved it. The two times my DH had steak and the burger. He loved both. DS had the fish and chips and liked that too. The first time there we ordered the creamed corn on the side and LOVED it...the second time it was too salty.

Desserts: You have to try the bread pudding...yum! DH has also had the apple pie and liked it.

We ate there last night. I loved it. I am doing a review with pictures right now and will be posting it very shortly. :)

We really liked it! We went there on a whim and had no problem getting an ADR the same day. We thought the fish and chips were the best on property, certainly better than Rose & Crown. There are many wonderful Irish bars in Boston and Raglan Road is very comparable.
