Well I only booked my trip at the end of July for 8/23-8/29.:cheer2: I think I done pretty well with with my ADR's but I need suggestions for 1 night even though I am hoping for CM to open up.
2 Adults and 2 kids (4 & 7 boys)
23rd- Ohana -must do for us

24th- Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package- did this last time and was very happy with the food and seating for fantasmic

25th- Garden Grill-must do for us

26- ??? have CM at 9:20 but that is too late for my kids

27- Kona-- first time here not sure about this one

28- teppan edo- kids LOVE Hibachi

The 26th I have a CM @ 9:20 but I think it is way to late for my boys. I am hoping for something to open up earlier. In case nothing does what are some suggestions for that day?

Also what do you think?

Did you want to replace it with another resort restaurant? Will you be in a park that day? That might help us suggest an alternative. :)

What about T-Rex in Downtown Disney? The food is pretty good and your boys would probably love the dinosaur theme! It's easier to get a reservation there by calling T-Rex directly rather than booking through Disney.:thumbsup2

Something that has worked for me a couple of times (walk-ups at CM, 'Ohana and CP) is getting there at the beginning of the meal time and see if they'll work you in then. Like I said, it worked for me several times, so you could try it for CM.

DH also likes Liberty Tree Tavern.

If you are wanting to stay in the MK area and do a character meal, Crystal Palace in MK is my first thought for dinner, but I'm guessing there may not be much open for that either if only the late slots are open at Chef Mickey's.

There are mixed reviews on the food, but if you can time Tony's to coincide w/MSEP you may be able to sit outside and eat while watching the parade. It would still be a fairly late meal, but it would probably keep the kids more engaged.

I know a lot of people find 1900 Park Fare dinner to be fun. I know Cinderella is there, but the interaction with the stepsisters is supposed to be great with boys and when Prince Charming dances with the little girls, sometimes Cindy will dance with little boys.

If you are up for the boat ride to WL (which we love) - Whispering Canyon might be a really fun dinner.

If you're good with signature, my girls LOVED California Grill. It beat out every single character meal to date as their favorite meal. Sure, fireworks help, but our server was just so wonderful with them that they felt super special during the meal. They also just loved the views and seeing Illuminations and the water pageant from up there as well.

There are tons of options if you go beyond the MK area, but since you're looking at Chef Mickey's- I figured I'd stick to that area. I'd also keep trying for Chef Mickey's at a better time. We're not fans of the dinner food there, but it's worth it for the experience and spots always seem to open up at spots like this if you stalk the website a bit...especially the last few weeks before your travel dates.

Agree with the suggestions of T-Rex or WCC...both lots of fun for little boys.

Thanks for the suggestions. Does anyone know if trex is on the dining plan for 1 Ts? I am still holding out hope for cm

Trex is 1 TS , it is a really fun place and pretty good grill food .
Boma has a great buffet , the boys might like the resort and trying out the jembay.

The rest of your ADR's look very customized to your family's favourites , always a good choice.

will you be doing Kona for breakfast , lunch or supper , breakfast is great there , i haven't had other meals there yet . Can you change your kona ADR for an earlier CM spot and move your Kona ADR to the CM night ? Kona will be easier to book

My kids love Biergerten, which surprised me. They also like Liberty Tree Tavern , Rainforest Cafe- which to me is a fun atmosphere but I don't love the menu, Cape May, Crystal Palace and Boma.
Good Luck... I hope that Chef Mickey's opens for you!
