Thoughts on MNSSHP crowd levels for Thurs, Oct 18

So, we are planning to attend the party on the 18th. It is not a discounted night, which concerns me about how crowded it will be. It's a Thursday. In theory, the dates we will be at WDW we could go either to the Sun night, the 21st, or Tues night, the 23rd, which are discounted nights. My problem with this scenario is with the way I have it planned and the use of our tickets on certain days, the 18th works better for not having to burn a park day on our tickets and still have an opportunity to see HEA and go to the MK for rides and such on a different day. My son will be 4, and we aren't planning to focus so much on rides during the party b/c we want to take advantage of the unique party offerings and trick or treat.

From those who have attended the parties in mid-Oct, do I need to be concerned about the crowd levels on the 18th or do I really need to figure out a way to get to a discounted night on the 21st or 23rd?

Planning for the same and very interested in answers. Also, I haven't done a party before, so to clarify, purchasing a ticket to MNSSHP includes admission and you don't use one of your pass days?

Correct. As long as you wait until 4pm when they start letting people with party tickets in. I’ve planned it to where that is mostly a resort day except for the evening at the party. I just hope it isn’t too crowded. Depending on responses from people who have done it, I’m hoping I don’t need to change the party to a different day. Trying to fit in HEA also makes planning difficult when there are so many party nights. And we really want to do both for sure.

Want to attend a less-crowded party? Avoid Main Street and the hub and the party will feel three times less crowded than if you hang on Main Street and the hub all night.

The regular price of the tickets are below. In this price category the 18th is the only non discounted one and there are 2 additional Thursdays that are discounted
October 8, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25 - Advance Sale Adult $99, Child $94. Same Day Adult $109, Child $104.
