Thoughts on last week of April???

Anyone been the last week of April lately? How were the crowds? Specifically looking at park days of April 24 & 25. Could slide them around a little though. How will a late Easter and Dapper Day on the 23rd affect these dates?

you will have great photos on Main street and DCA on Dapper Day. most of those Dapper folks are extreme vetrans and are not there for the attractions but club meet and greets. the groups of folks may clog walk ways as folks take great photos. As for Easter, who has that day off anymore, it will just be another Sunday.

Its always crowded all the time but the end of April is usually a good time to go. We've been the last three or four years at the end of April and all but one of them were really fun.

Which year did you go that wasn't good? We went the last week of April in 2012, 2013, & 2014. I think it was 2014 that was just not good. Crazy crowded, crazy amount of refurbs, Disneyland had electrical problems and multiple rides were shut down (temporarily), we had a dreadful hotel experience and then the Santa Ana winds picked up and caused even more closed rides. It really scared us off from going that week ever again. The only bad Disney trip we've ever had! We're interested in giving it another try as it's good timing for us but hoping it will be much better than 2014. Glad to hear you've had good experiences recently, thank you!

The one with the Santa Ana winds. I also think it was 2014 but I can't say for sure. It was 100-103 degrees over a three day period with 40 mph wind gusts from the desert. My allergies killed me. I think I was sick for a solid week or two after that one. It was the one trip to Disneyland we have made over the years that I regret. But I would not hesitate to go again during that time period. Usually the weather is great that time of the year and its just regular crowded and not out of this world crowded. This past April were there from the 30th until May 3rd and had a great time.

Bump. Anyone there for the last week of April 2016? Were crowds crazy? Touring Plans says April 25-29 (Mon-Fri) was an 8!

You can't really compare the last week last year to this year. Easter was 3 weeks earlier last year. Easter was later in 2014, but crowds have been increasing since then. Expect it to be crowded, so you will be surprised if it's not, and not disappointed if it is.

I think you're right SMD. With Easter being late AND just following Dapper Day, I think we are just going to skip the family trip with my husband and sister's family. Large crowds really diminish the fun for my husband and sister. I feel like it's not worth risking it. I'm dying to go with my nieces but I gotta keep the whole family happy. If it feels like weekend crowds they aren't going to like it. I'll probably just take my kids in February before our passes expire. My sister can't go in February or we could all just go then. Thanks for the input.
