Thoughts on Kona breakfast

This is my DD24's favorite breakfast in WDW. We have not had the tonga toast, though, but have heard it's very good! DD24 always gets the Big Kahuna with the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes and eats the whole thing! I don't know how, that's a lot of breakfast, lol. But, She loves the food, and then just being in the poly atmosphere makes it fun she says. We always go at least once a trip. She'd like more but we only do 2, maybe 3, breakfasts on our long ten day trips so there isn't really time. (We aren't morning people, either). I think it's a great breakfast choice!

We had a reservation in June at 8:15am, and we were one of maybe 4-5 tables in the place.

Clearly Kona gets a lot of love and imo it's well deserved. I'm not a big breakfast fan, but Kona even turned my non breakfast grinch heart around

Kona Cafe is one of our favorite breakfast restaurants. We love the Tonga Toast and the Macadamia Nut Pineapple Pancakes. Also, get the press pot coffee for 2. It is amazing, 100% Kona!!

We had a terrible breakfast at Kona, but I think ours must have been the exception instead of the norm. Most people seem to love it. We had terrible service and terrible food when we ate breakfast there. My breakfast there was the only meal I have ever had at WDW that was truly in-edible and our waitress didn't really care when I pointed out the hard biscuits, undercooked potatoes and runny eggs.

Oh no, that is terrible!! I hate when you have high expectations and spend a pretty penny and have a bad experience. I do hope this was an isolated incident. I'm sorry you had a crummy time. Thanks for the input!

Thank you everyone for your comments they helped a ton. We don't get to Disney very often and just trying to keep it all perfect.
