Thoughts on Hoop Dee Doo

We loved it the last time we were there. We booked late, and wound up in the balcony seating. It was a great show, and the food was pretty good. Very entertaining which is why they take 2TS credits. It's worth it if you've never been. :)

Is there any real difference in where you sit? I imagine there might be a little more interaction if you're in Tier 1....but in Tier 2 can you still see everything well? How about the 3rd Tier?

I was really skeptical about hoop-de-doo, but my whole family (8 ppl), went on thanksgiving eve last year, and we absolutely loved it! If you are expecting 4 star gourmet food, you'll be dissapointed, but the ribs and chicken were yummy, and I think I ate my weight in cornbread :rolleyes1 The entertainment actually was really funny, in a cheesy, tounge-in-cheek sort of way. If you have a kinda goofy sense of humor, you'll just love it! I'd suggest tier 1 seating, because then you have a good chance to be part of the show! Both my brother and I were chosen to be part of the pagent at the end, and it was a riot. My husband laughed so hard at our antics, he nearly snorted strawberry shortcake out his nose! :rotfl: This really was one of our favorite memories and experiences from our Thanksgiving trip, and I'd definately give it a shot!

we just made reservations but they only had 3rd tier left. Will we still get a good view??

I haven't gone, but I plan on making reservations for our trip this fall (once they FINALLY post park hours for November!)

From what I've heard, while some seats might be better than others - there's not a bad seat in the house.

I have also heard that it's very well worth it. I've even heard of some people on the DDP paying out of pocket so they don't have to use 2 credits.

Does anyone know what they offer as a vegetarian option here?? TIA

Call Disney Dining at least 48 hours in advance. They will review menu options for you at any sit down restaurant - including any dinner shows and buffets.
They also offer alternatives to the normal menu too - such as gluten free, sugar free, etc...

Our group of 12 people, from my 7 month old niece to my 65 year old mom, absolutely loved it when we went in April '07. So much so that it is on our "must do" list for our trip this December. We were seated in the back on the floor, but we could see and hear everything fine. I think that the kids enjoyed it just as much as the adults did.

We've seen it 5 times over the years with family and friends. It is lots of fun and definitely worth the extra credits. :rotfl2: Our tables have always been on the "main" floor - once right next to the stage - and interaction with the cast is excellent. On one occasion, our table was on the balcony and they do come bounding up there as well. My one caveat to anyone who goes - bring a sweater - it always seems to be overwhelmingly cold in that room!
