Thoughts on crowds Nov. 14-18?

I bit the bullet and booked a last-minute trip for this time for my son & I as an early Christmas gift vs. taking him after school during the summer thinking we'd get a bit of a break on the heat and crowds and he could still get on his favorite BTMRR and see the Osbourne Lights before they are no more. This isn't when we've ever visited before. Anyone have any crowd insights?

You should have a great time! We love the week before Thanksgiving at WDW......crowds are not too bad. Unfortunately our kids are now in High School/middle school and they can't miss a week of school any more!
Last year we went the Wed before Thanksgiving week until the Monday of Thanksgiving week........our Wed, Thurs, Fri the week before Thanksgiving were great. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday of Thanksgiving week were getting packed......Monday probably had 3x the amount of people in the MK compared to our day there the previous week.

I've been around that time twice and friends of ours did the week before Thanksgiving last year and we all thought crowd levels were great. Weekend might be a little busier, but the weekdays were pretty low crowd levels.

We will be there at that time also and picked that week for predicted crowd levels.

You'll have a great time! Maybe we'll see you there!

Should be a GREAT TIME TO GO. We arrive on the 18th and depart the 25th the night before Thanksgiving. You will have much lower crowds for your dates ENJOY. We too booked just a few weeks ago for the above dates. I want to see the Osborne lights one last time too.

Hi! I'm going November 14-17. I looked at multiple crowd calendars and planned my trip about nine months ago. It should be a great time to go, but you might want to be aware that this past September and October have seen unprecedented and unexpected crowd levels and wait times. Touring Plans thinks this trend will continue into November and they're currently adjusting their crowd calendar.

However, I think if you follow easywdw's advice on which park/which day, you'll be fine!

IMO it is the best time to go. I love November, the weather is great! I think it will be crowded, it seems to be getting more crowded every year, but I thick it will be less crowded than summer.

I'll be there those dates as well and I'm expecting crowds. Not only are attendance numbers increasing yearly, since this is the last year for the Lights, it seems even more people are making trips who wouldn't have otherwise.

I have seen many posts online of people who are making a special trip to see the lights, who would not be going otherwise.

We went that same time last year. We were very happy. We normally go on the off off season so I was worried about crowds. The day before Thanksgiving was busy but still reasonable. Got to enjoy all of the Christmas type things. Did have unseasonably cold weather though (32 degrees during parade) so bring hat/gloves/coat just in case. Have fun!

We'll be there then also.....I would avoid EPCOT the weekend of Nov 14/15....it is the last weekend of Food & Wine and weekend crowds have been horrendous....the last weekend should be ridiculously crowded with locals wanting their last shot. F&W runs until Monday which should be less crowded then the weekend.

Other than that it should be decent crowds, great weather, and Disney.....what more can you ask for!

Yep, I've seen those posts as well. We had our trip booked long before the announcement and at first I thought great 'we'll get to see them one last time'. Then I started reading all the posts of people booking new trips and that burst my bubble a bit. It all depends when those extra trips are booked, but Nov 6 - Jan 3, will be busy.

We will be there during those dates as well (Nov. 8-18 for us), and I'm anticipating moderate crowds. I so can't wait to get there! Have a wonderful trip!

We will be there the 15th through the 20th. I am expecting crowds higher than the crowd calendars are saying just because that seems to be how it is lately but I don't think they will be too horrendous.

Yeah, we'll be there the 14-19. What sucks is that my hubby has one day and one day only to go to a park(he has business meetings) and he picked Epcot. On the 15th. :scared1: But what's worse, we aren't staying on site, so no MB's, we can't buy our tickets until we get there(for money reasons) so no FP's. I am totally dreading what we'll be walking into. The only bright spot is that I booked dining early so I did get Garden Grill for lunch that day :)

Going in unprepared like this has me stressing out. I do NOT like not having FP's, I guess I know too much!

Just avoid MK on a non-party day and you should be OK. MK on a non-party day will be extremely crowded. Other than that, I think crowds will be moderate.

Last time we went, MK was fairly slow even on non party days that week. It may be dicey Thanksgiving week, but the week before when we went was great.

I know the advice is to avoid MK on non-party days but I am going to spend one non-party day at MK. I want to see the night time activities and a trip to MK without being there at night just doesn't feel like a trip to Disney. So I'll prepare for crowds and just try and enjoy it.

we will be there 11/14 to 11/20 and we are going to MK 11/16 - MY 58th BIRTHDAY!!!. it is a non-party day but we want to see the night time entertainment. It will be crowded but DD and I will have three MBs each - 1 set is already loaded and we will load our other two sets the night before with FPs - we have another set we could try and get SDFPs. We have a ressie for BoG lunch too!!! And we are going to MK on our last park day and it is a party day so I am not worried about MK.
