We are going to be going to Cinderella's Royal Table so our 4 year old daughter will have a character dining with her. So I am wondering if the food and atmosphere is worth it at Coral Reef to skip the other? We have never been to either. thanks!

It depends on what meal you are doing at CRT. If you are doing breakfast or lunch it will be similar. If you are doing dinner, Akershus will be a different experience.

We really enjoyed our meal at Akershus, one of the better ones on our trip this year. It is also a great deal on the dining plan. Just 1 TS and a photo package is included with that. You get to see five princesses total. One for the picture and the other four visit you at your table for pictures and autographs.

Both breakfast and lunch at CRT are similar to the all the meals at Akershus in that princesses go around the room and you are able to get pictures and autographs from them. :)

I would only do the Princess Breakfast because the lunch and dinner menus do not appeal to us or the kids....we did the breakfast once before and it was amazing, we are going back in January to do it again.

I was stuck on a TS dinner for our Epcot day, the nieces can be pretty picky. I decided on Coral Reef because the atmosphere is something the girls would really enjoy.

I haven't been to Princess Storybook so I can't comment on that. However, we did do CRT for lunch and Coral Reef this past trip. DD5 enjoyed them both. For us, one princess meal was enough, we also had 2 other character meals that were not princesses. I, personally, would choose Coral Reef instead of a 2nd princess meal, but I know plenty of other people would choose differently.

Personally, my family felt that Coral Reef fod left a lot to be desired.....NOT impressed. But, the atmosphere was excellent! (We are choosing not to do it again, though.) Also, I heard that it will be 2 TS credits in 2009, so if you are on the dining plan, I would try to fit in the Coral Reef before Jan.

I saw something about a month ago with discussion on this and turns out there was an old list that was popping up from when it was 2TS a few years back. The conclusion to those discussions was that it was 1TS for 2009. Don't know if there has been any other discussion. :confused3 Our meal there was superb and well worth 1TS; can't see them going back to 2 though. I see it as more of a slightly fancy family place than signature dining.
