Thoughts on Columbia Harbor House?

We ate there while on the KTTK tour and all thought the food was great. I had the Chicken Salad and there was soo much chicken in the salad. This was a large salad also, much more than I could eat (and I can eat). DW ans DD(16) had the tuna and Chowder combo which they both said was excellent DS and DD (23) went with sandwich plates (I don't remember which sandwiches) but both thought that they were good.

We also ate upstairs, no crowds and as others stated, a little used bathroom.

I thought that CHH was a great place to eat and will do so in the future.

My Fave counter service in Disney, nice filling and healthy fare. I like the salad, chowder, and the veggies sandwich.

We're not big on counter service food but CHH has made it onto our list of favorites restaurants...maybe because of the fish'n chips. Love'em. We were a little disappoints this year, because they stopped serving the chowder in a bread bowl. Oh well...they progress. At thanksgiving, they added a nice pumpkin pie to the menu.

:earseek: LOVE IT!!

My family loves CHH, its so nice on a hot day to go inside and relax, while we eat and the food is terrific. We will definately be going there this March.

We're Pecos Bill's regulars and tried CHH this last October and were very disappointed. The chowda wasn't in a read bowl and the fish & chips were soggy. We're sorry we passed up PB's. You never know until you try. I've read that the salads at Pinnochio's Village Haus are great...

We also ate there for the first time this year during our KTTK tour. I didn't expect much, but was actually suprised with the battered, fried fish that came with the Fish and Chicken (2 chicken strips, 2 pieces of fish and fries). It was pretty good.

I love the Monte Cristo sandwhich

I liked it too, but unfortunately it hasn't been on the menu in a long time.

Love it. DH and I always go at least once when we are at WDW.

I'm a fan of Columbia Harbor House, but just a warning... it may close early. On a night with SpectroMagic, they stopped serving by 5pm. I suppose they might have had a private function, but they were cleaning up the kitchen at 5 when we showed up.

I'm a big fan of the "custom condiment meal". I don't eat many fried foods, but I love to get the chicken & fish strips, and load up on the condiments: honey mustard, tartar sauce, bbq, mustard, and ketchup. I don't know why I love it, I just do! :earboy2:

We never miss it. Never a problem sitting and the food is good. Last trip we got our HM fast pass, went in CHH, got our food, ate upstairs by the window and people watched (was a hot day so a/c felt good). When it was time for HM we headed over. Was very relaxing and good food. I enjoy the salads as well there.

We also attempted to eat at Pecos for the first time in probably 10 years. They were all too happy to sell us the food and by time we got over to the fixins bar they had closed it. Apparently they were shutting down early. Wish they told us before the sold us the naked burgers!

They do shut down early - often - and it isn't because of private events. I think it doesn't do enough business in the evening for them to justify keeping it open. Too bad.

Last trip, DH actually asked to eat here, and we were over at Buzz Lightyear! He's usually one to go into the place that's directly in front of him, so this is high praise!

But we love that yummy tuna sandwich! So nice to have a homemade-type sandwich. And we also like the quiet upstairs area.

Thank you so much for the info everyone! We are definitely going to try it and I will definitely get the tuna. :)
