Thoughts on CCV Cabin vs. 2-bedroom villa

I have a 2-bedroom at CCV booked for a few nights in June. We've stayed at CCV before - loved the rooms and love WL. I have the chance to switch to a CCV cabin for our trip. The only "con" I can think of is the up charge to switch to the cabin, but we haven't been to WDW since Dec. 2019 and my DS is graduating middle school this year so thought it could be a nice splurge. I've seen video tours of the cabin and it looks gorgeous. Does anyone have any thoughts regarding the cabin vs. the 2-bedroom villa? Is it terribly loud in the cabin when the electric water pageant goes by? Are there certain cabins or cabin areas you prefer over others? Thank you for your thoughts!

We loved out cabin stays, and if you have the points to get one, I would.

I didn’t notice any particular noise regarding the Electric Parade. Both times we had MK boats pass by, and they didn’t bother us. Maybe the Electric Water Parade does a different route?

Oh, the view!!!! Alright - you talked me into it! I'll need to schedule some extra resort time to enjoy the cabin and the view - thank you!

The Cabins numbered 8001 to 8012 have the boat to the Magic Kingdom running by frequently. The cabins are well-insulated and you won't hear the boat noise. However, once the sun sets, everyone on the boat is going to have a clear view inside until you close the screens, which defeats the purpose of a cabin (IMO).

With the above in mind, I suggest asking for one of the cabins numbered 8013 to 8026 are on the opposite side. I suggest asking for 8013 if you want to be close to the lobby, 8026 if you want to be far away.

I've stayed in the 2-bedroom, which is nice, but if I had the option and didn't need to watch my points, I would TOTALLY go for a cabin. Would love that experience at least once.

This is great info - THANK YOU!

Another "If I had the points to do it, I would TOTALLY go for the cabins!" vote. We haven't stayed there, but we toured them and I would love to stay in one some day!

Love the cabins! We were on the MK boat side. The sound did not bother us at all. We were not using the living room as a sleeping space, so I didn't worry about people seeing in. Also, they can see the screen porch just fine during the day. My kids like waving at the boats and a lot of people waved back!

We requested the other side for our next trip, just to see what it is like.

I have also stayed in a 2 bedroom at CCV. They are amazing, but do not compare to the cabin.

Both of our stays were on the side shown in the picture. We were never concerned regarding people seeing in.
