We are going the last week of March. Staying OFF SITE and with some extended family members (dh's cousin, his wife and two kids).

We made our plans for which park days a few months ago and made our ADR's then. Planned off the touringplans crowd calendar. Well now the crowd levels have changed and EMM are scheduled for our 1st MK day and our only DHS day.

Because we are staying off site, it sounds like we almost certainly won't get Fast Passes for the 7DMTR and SDD. We plan on taking a break mid day on our first MK day and then coming back for the fireworks. I think we can ride 7DMTR near close. OR rope drop it on our second MK day. Does that sound reasonable? Or should we switch days? How much does EMM effect crowds for those who come in at the regular park opening?

As for SDD we won't be there for closing, so it's RD or nothing most likely? Will that be possible if we are there on an EMM day and arrive at regular park opening? This is very important as DD is a huge Toy Story fan and SDD is her #1 must ride. Of course she also wants to ride the other Toy Story rides AND ToT and RNRC.

Thoughts? I don't want to have to switch our ADR's. But if we have to...

Are you talking about Early Morning Magic which is a ticketed event, or Extra Magic Hours, open to any guests staying on property?

My thoughts are to ignore touringplans and work on your plan. Get your fastpasses lined up at 30 days and ropedrop and you will do plenty.

EMM, the ticketed event, would have no impact on your plans because of the small number of people.

I would not give up on FP+ for 7DMTR at 30 days. However, i wouldn't expect to get it at a great time. You may have to decide if you want the dinner ADR or the FP+

As for Slinky, I would not expect a FP+ for it, but wouldn't give up looking. If you rope drop it, you have to be there very early. Josh at easywdw posted on various scenarios for ropedropping slinky.

EMM is not a large number of guests so it shouldn’t have any impact on your plans.

I would try to get the FP’s you want at 30 days- I’ve been pleasantly surprised in the past. BUT have a plan B as to what your next FP choice is if that doesn’t happen. If you don’t get SDD (and I’m going to be honest, you probably won’t but people do change their plans sometimes and cancel them so I would never tell you it definitely won’t happen) plan on rope drop and FP TSMM instead for example.
