We were in Barnes & Noble tonight and clearanced in the kids' section there was a book titled "Maleficent-My Side of the Story". It had a huge picture of Maleficent on the cover. I had to smile because it reminded me of you.

I've seen those books. They are written by the POV of the villains in the
stories of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella....and very clever. You're to think
the heroes/heroines were bad, and the villains simply "misunderstood".

I'll lay odds that in this book, Maleficent was only upset at not being invited
to celebrate Aurora's birth. I wouldn't be able to figure out how she'd
justify that whole "death curse" though.
