Thought it was time to post about our first trip last Nov

Hello everybody! My DW26 me 31 and my DD4 were fortunate enough to take a vacation to DW the first week of last Nov. My in laws came along with us which was a big help. We stayed in a riverview room at Parterre Place at the POR. Everything about our stay was great. The beautiful grounds, the food court was good, the boat to DTD and thought the buses were good too. It just felt like our home away from home. We loved the resort and plan to stay at POR again or the new AoA resort in 2013. Still alot of time to make that decision but we're already anxious to go back. It almost made this grown man cry when I saw my daughters reaction the first time we walked into Magic Kingdom. So it will be a thrill to see our next DD reaction when we go next year. She will be here Friday and we're praying for another healthy Disney princess.

Thank you guys and gals for the advice I have read on here this past year. Really helped with our trip planning. This board is filled with great people and I'm glad to finally be a part of it.

First trip is just unforgettable.


I was a senior in high school when we made our first trip to WDW. It’s funny, I can never remember if it was 1987 or 1988 – the album confirmed that it was, indeed, 1988. I spent WEEKS pouring over a Birnbaum’s Guide that someone had loaned to my mom – and I had our trip planned to a tee.
