I was thinking about this over the weekend and thought that perhaps if you were really committed to painting the brick to change the look, perhaps consider having the house spray corked instead of simply painted. You would still have the option of choosing the color, covering the brick -- and you would get the benefits of extra insulation and sound dampening for your money. The extra insulation will help the expenditure continue to pay off as well.
My house is kind of similar to the first above photo with the tan color and the brown roof. White trim.
We put a dark, charcoal, type roof on. Never looked back.
I do not like the other photo of the brown roof on a dark blue/slate house.
That just does NOT work. (maybe for somebody very eclectic and funky....)
OP: Decide whether you are going to want 'Cool' or 'Warm'.
The roof is one of the big deciding factors.
When we replaced our roof, it seemed that every color was a warm with brown, like the 'Weathered Wood' color that is popular around here right now. Or it is cool.... I started out thinking 'go neutral'.... NOPE.
This is going to be a big factor when you put a color scheme together.
If I was redoing the roof and the home, with a totally open color palette, I, just personally, would go 'Cool', and I would consider a very light neutral cool light/off-white sand brick color, and a dark roof.
If you are stuck on the Riverway blue-green color, then that is more complex. I would look at houses, photos, color schemes.... to make sure that you get it right.
For a cool color palette, here is a very light cool-gray off-white brick, with a deeper Riverway type color.
Can't really see the roof, but it appears to be a medium, charcoal, not really dark, cool gray.
On Pinterest, under 'White Brick Houses', on the third row of pictures is a good photo of a warm color scheme...
The BEFORE picture is just above it.
A smaller painted white brick house with a warmer off-white color paint, brown wooden shutters, and brown front porch posts.
That might be one to look at, too.

Is there maybe a second picture you're looking at for this one? I see a cream house, white trim, what appears to be black shutters, wrought iron and door, but none of the roof is visible.
The description says: "This house, sent to me by a reader, is painted Benjamin Moore Owl Gray (a very old color that can be requested); the light trim is an old Benjamin Moore color called ‘Linen’ (also an old color that can be requested). The dark shutters and door are a custom mix, "
The shutters are very dark, but I think are a very dark (maybe a bit too dark?) version of a blue-green Riverway type color.
