Need a good diaper bag, I wanted one from Babies R Us but as soon as I went to order it, they no longer had it listed. Bummer. What Diaper bag(s) do you have and do you love them?

BTW, I have a baby girl, so any suggestions would be great.

Julie

Actually I have a Kate Spade. Just plain black. I'm too old for Pooh and Bunnies. :lmao:

It was pricey but DD just potty trained, so I carried it around everywhere including 3 trips to WDW and 1 to the Carribbean, plus other side trips, through many washings in the washing machine and it still looks new, after 3 years .

I love it!

I have three currently, two Petunia Pickle Bottom boxy backpacks and a Skip-Hop Dash.

I like them for different reasons, the PPB are cute and the SH is functional.

With that said, I don't know what bag I'm taking next week, I still haven't decided on a stroller to take yet either but that's a different post!

I have a skip hop lookalike from Babiesrus (around $20 on sale) and a couple of others (an ugly graco one that was a gift, and a over the shoulder one strap backpack type that was real uncomfortable but looked good!) Loved the skip hop lookalike and its' price even more! I've had friends who have the fleurville which is huge (guess why they are called mothership!) and seem to have alot of pockets but I think I would find it unwieldly to handle compared to a smaller diaper bag. Now with number 2 coming in 2-3 weeks I'm thinking about getting a skip hop double...but I'm hoping I can make my regular diaper bag work for the 2 kids! We'll see how long that lasts!

:rotfl: I have several. You might say that I collect them! :lmao:

I have Lands End Little Tripper that I use when I am out with just my 18month old. I also have a Skip hop Dash stroller bag for when we are "malling." Then there is my LL Bean touring bag, which is bigger and great for when I need more stuff. My Kecci, which I got just because it is pretty. ;) And I also have a Vera Bradley tote diaper bag, which is very roomy and also pretty.

I like the look of the Baggallini that PP linked. That may be my next bag!! :goodvibes

We are finally done with diaper bags for the most part, but I used the Vera Bradley diaper bag. I wore out the straps with my DD ( Iworked full time for awhile and it was packed full every day) and bought another for my DS.

I bought a one strap backpack, which worked perfect for us.

I bought it at Babies r us.

DD is two, and we only use it when going to disney. It's perfect for a couple of snacks, a few juice packs, a sippy, an outfit and a couple of pull ups.

I LOVE some of the newer ones that actually looks like purses. My theory, carry something you feel comfortable with. Things have changed a bit in the past three years, but I HATED all the character ones when I had my daughter. They don't seem so prominant anymore.

I have several. I have a Petunia Picklebottom boxy backpack, an Oilily V-Bag and a Coach bag.

I love the PPB! I took it to China and it was great! I use it most of the time. It's very pretty too.

I like the Oilily bag but a lot of stuff falls to the bottom and it isn't very organized. It will be a great overnight bag later for Gracie.

The Coach bag is gorgeous but I've only carried it twice. I'm so afraid it will get messed up that I can't enjoy it. I'm thinking about listing it on Ebay.

I will probably get another PPB...they're great!

Lands' End bags are great! I've used Little Tripper for both kids, and it is the bag that I have used the most. I bought a Diaper Backpack for our Disney trip.

The Little Tripper is only $20.

I also have the Do-It-All, but I rarely use it. I've only used the Backpack once, and that was for Disney. I thought that I would use it more, like on trips to the zoo or something, but I haven't needed it.

You can return Lands' End stuff to Sears, which saves on return shipping.

Enjoy!

I went thru about 4 of them and never really LOVED any of them. Each was good for different things, but I was never able to find that 1 perfect bag. I refused to spend a small fortune on a bag just because it had a designer name (I'm the same way with purses), so that eliminated quite a few. I had a Graco one, a messenger style one from Target, and a one of theose microfiber ones from Babies R Us that comes in about 4 different sizes/shapes. My favorite happened to be a microfiber backpack from Motherhood Maternity Store -
My DS is now 3 and potty trained, but I still have a bag w/a change of clothes, and a few snacks and toys if we're going to be out for the day (the Target one)
My advice, keep in simple, maching washable, neutral color, and one that you won't freak out if it falls and touches the floor of a public restroom because it was expensive :scared1:
Also, keep in mind that if your DH is going to have to use it on a regular basis (like mine did every Sat when I was at work), there will be quite a few that will be absolute dealbreakers. I'm sure that I never could have talked DH into carrying a Petunia Picklebottom bag for any reason.

Wow, those Petunia Picklebottom bags, I just noticed, cost as much as a Maclaren Stroller! (and I'd rather have the stroller than the bag). :rotfl2:

i have a pink and brown Petunia Picklebottom and love it. It is really cute, and I have had tons of women ask about it when i have carried it out and about. It is large, but not too large and has a nice fold-out change pad. the only downside is that it is a silk that doesn't clean well and cannot wipe down. My sister recently read that diaperbag outsides are one of the most bacteria covered surfaces due to the fact that they get set on floor, tables, etc, so if germs are an issue for you, they are for my sister, you might want to look for a fabric that you can wipe down.

The germ issue is why I got the Petunia Pickle Bottom stroller clips, it stays on the stroller and I use the Skip-Hop Pronto for diaper changes. DH carries the pronto, he won't touch the PPB! Fine with me, I don't want it seeing the mens room anyway! :scared: ;)

I never put my diaper bag (or puse, etc.) on the floor. I'm very careful about where I put it because that grosses me out! I took mine to China and before I left people kept telling me it would get so dirty because "you just put your bag anywhere...on the sidewalks, etc." Evidently they didn't know who they were talking to!:lmao: I came home with my bag extremely clean!

I know, isn't it crazy? And you can't wash them, and lets face it, the chances of a bottle/juice cup/baby food jar leaking in the bag are pretty good...Kind of an impractical, don't you think - a silk diaper bag :confused3

Unfortunately where I live, I am in the minority, as I see many moms at the park with their petunia picklebottom bag attached to the bugaboo frog stroller. (Don't even get me started with that one. For $800 does it have a remote to push for you??)

Well, umm.. I have two; a mia bossi bag and a stork sak bag (don't think I'm too crazy if you look up the websites.. I did get pretty good deals)

I'm thinking about getting a fleurville for the trip though, one that attaches to the stroller handles. I'll probably use a sling for our youngest but might rent a stroller for the 4 year old? still not sure on that one.. If we end up skipping the stroller I'll probably get the fleurville dad bag.

I went through a ridiculous # of diaper bags for my older 2 kids never finding one that was just right. When we found out we had a little surprise on the way my husband teased me that I got pregnant on purpose to continue on my diaper bag quest. ;) Same could be said of strollers I guess.

With this baby I have 2 and so far I'm very happy with both of them. I have a knock off of a Skip Hop Dash which is made by Addidas. Works great. We attached it to the side of our stroller like a saddlebag for our trip at the begining of February. I also have a Fluerville Sling Tote which I LOVE. I love that the fabric is plastic coated so it can just be wiped off if something spills on it. I love that it has nice little feet on the bottom so it sits up a bit. Love that it looks great stuffed full or almost empty. Love the organization...just enough for me, not too many pockets. LOve that it attaches to the stroller (although I did switch from using the O-rings that came with it to a similar type of hook but attached to velcro so it stays put on the stroller handle better. I had to take the O-rings off each time I folded the stroller or they would fall off, these stay put.). VERY happy with this bag. They retail for $140 but this one is a 2nd bought from Fluerville for half that. The flaw is that the stitching on the trim isn't straight at one part. You have to REALLY look for it. I figured I'd spend $40-50 on a bag from Babies R Us and this one looked like better quality and had better resale so I went for it and was very glad I did!

I purchased a vera bradley one (to match my purse:goodvibes ) for DS #2 and so far, I love it. It was pricey (got the bag for inside, too..ditty bag, i believe it's called) but I think it's worth it. I think I can definately continue to use it after DS no longer needs it. I had an LLBean one that I loved w/DS#1, but it wasn't made for the washer. I think that's what I like best about the Vera..I can put it in the wash. I haven't done it, yet..as I have been using it less than 2 weeks.
