Ok, this summer has been...amazing for me. A lot of things happened to me, good and bad. But the bad things only lasted for a little bit & this one main streak of goodness lol has lasted for weeks now & its only the "beginning" I am told.

Well of course, this thread is about what happened last summer when I met this amazing guy named Andrew. I remember him as being a little shy; but I'm beginning to learn when you talk to them on the phone, you can try your hardest to talk up a storm of interesting topics but they just...barely say anything.

I've especially learned that from my pretty much best friend Ryan. Ryan is my uncle's gf's son. He's my age & he & i are like PB & J. We tell each other pretty much everything esp. through txt message. Ha, he & i would start a convo in txt @ like 9pm & only end @ 3am. & I'm not joking lol. I really rely on him. He's an amazing guy; he's great to talk to (yet when i call him to talk about something serious....he barely says anything!!!! [its GOT to be a guy thing] lol).
Well back to where I was aiming for-telling you whats been goin' on w/ Andrew!! lol
This is the story (what I've been dying for for a whole year!! lol):
Well yes, we actually did go to the cabanas on July 27th. & we only got there around noon & my mom said we were leaving early b/c bad weather was coming. Well we walked down to the beach & as me & my mom's friend's son Joe, whos 11, are walking into the water with his 7 y.o. sister Sara he says, "Oh, Stephanie. Guess who you're meeting at 5 o'clock in the same spot?!" Ok, can you imagine how I felt?! My heart like...skipped 5 beats; I thought I was in heaven!! So I stupidly asked who & he said, "Andrew. I've been following him all week to see if he has a gf & to see stuff about him. I talked to him yesterday & he says he wants to see you & that he'll bring a football." Ok, my heart probably skipped a lot of beats. First of all, 1) Andrew...wants to see me!, 2) he remembers me!, 3) he remembers playing football! So just to...idk ?experiment? lol I said, "Joe!! Are you serious?!" But I made sure I said it in a little bit of an exciting way but not to dish so much out to Joe of my...like...year obsession lol (but I shouldn't be obsessed...I should be...oh who am I kidding lol)
Well...again like last year, I was kindaa wrong. We had to leave @ like...4:30 but b4 we left, after going to the beach until like 2:45ish, my mom, her friend Liz who takes us to the cabanas, & Liz's daughter Sara all went to the pool. So that left me, my brother Mike, & sister Melissa @ the cabana to just...play cards or listen to music. Well, me & my siblings have an idea where things are but all of a sudden Joe got up from a round of cards & started walking down the "hall" i guess lol of cabanas towards where I knew Andrew's cabana was. & Joe turned back after a few steps & says, "Come here. Follow me." & I thought maybe he had food in his hand & he'd turn around & throw it @ my face lol but the other half of my head continued to say, "Andrew Andrew Andrew Andrew Andrew" lol So I just kept saying, "Joe...where are you going?!" I mean, he knows his way around, but there were no adults around...I had no clue where he was going.
Well me & my siblings followed Joe & brought me to the one wooden place I've wanted to see for a year. Of course, Andrew's cabana. So Joe walks up to the cabana & asks to Andrew's mom I was guessing if he was there and she said that wasn't but he had a guest and that he was @ the back rocks. Now, the back rocks are just right near the front of the cabanas. Its just some water with rocks around it & its really really nice. & the back rocks are to the left of the picnic table where Andrew asked me to take a walk lol i remember that day so well...lol
So we went there & we didn't see him but Joe kept saying "Oh thats him. He's with a girl. He's cheating on you." So I said back, "Joe. How is he cheating on me if we're not going out 1). 2) that guy you're pointing @ looks like he's 35 & that's probably his wife." So then Joe says, "Oh...well he looks like that. He's changed. He's gay." Omg-that was it so I just said it all to make my point to Joe, "Hahahaha Joe you can't lie for your life. IF he was gay, why did you say he's cheating on me with (I pointed to the 35 y.o. guy & his alleged wife lol) THAT girl. How?" He just started laughing & apologized & we all just walked back to the cabanas.
Well when we got back it was time for us to leave. It was 4:30ish & I didn't get to see Andrew!!!! I kid you not. The whole way home, which was about an hour, I didn't say a word. & I don't shut up. I did not say a word. I just sat with my head against the window. As we were leaving the cabanas, I said to Joe to give Andrew my # & tell him to call me. Or even for him to get Andrew's # for me. Well, the next night I get a phone call around 10:30pm saying, "Ok. I got his number." THE MAGICAL NUMBERS WERE ABOUT TO BE IN MY HAND!!!!!!! & man do I remember the important stuff. I still remember the first three digits b/c its only one number off of my uncle's area code & then Joe says, ".........do you wanna talk to him?" & i said in a way like I cold barely breathe, "..Sure.." I swear I was SOOOOO excited!!!! & then I hear party like a rock; party like a rockstar. party like a rock... & then i hear joe saying "Hi Andrew. IUh...t's for you." & him being confused like...who does Joe know that knows me & wants to talk??!?? So he kept saying who is it & joe just kept saying just answer it. So he picked up & i hear this voice...slightly different but...it was Andrew's voice!! & when he asked who it was, I said that it was Stephanie & he said, "Stephanie...............oh!! We played football together!" So I excitedly said back (yet trying to control my excitement lol) "Yes we did" Well...we talked for a good....minute & a half lolololol but he said that he felt bad that he could barely hear me b/c it was K Court's cabana party that night & they had a DJ but that we'd talk soon. & joe took his pic 4 me & sent it............haha he is very good lookingi'll tell you that very good looking =)

Well, thats all I could have asked for.

So it was Saturday night we talked & I called him thursday but he didn't answer. Which, pshhh whatever. It's like when I call a friend & they don't pick up-I mean...we'll talk later, right? Ok, so Sunday I get the call of my life. I was listening to this...this song on my iPod just sitting on the couch relaxing. It's called The Rain & it's by K-OS. It was one of those free songs on iTunes but...idk sometimes i just get them & try to like them lol I felt like I was really liking the song lol & I feel my phone vibrating. & when I looked @ the called ID screen...it said ANDREW!!!! So I picked it up & we probably only talked for a minute & a half again b/c he said he was walking to the beach b/c it was so hot out just to go cool off. & I mean...I was sitting outside & I was like sweating thats how hot it was & I totally understood So probably...5 minutes after talking to him, I realized, "Omg...he used the three day rule. But I just laugh b/c he said he was sorry he didn't call sooner; he hadn't checked his voicemail in a while...Hahahahahhahahahahahhahaaaa"

Well, I called him two days later & he didn't answer so I left a message again. Well...one week later (Tuesday) we went to Pennsylvania on vaca for two nights. & 2 make my vacation even better, Wednesday (August 15th) I feel my phone vibrating & I thought...nah...it's just a txt from a friend or cousin or even Ryan...I'll get it later. Well it kept vibrating & I was like...Haha who's calling me now? & IT SAID ANDREW!!!! Yayyy!!!!!!!!!!!

Well he & I had a half hour convo b/c I unfortunately lol was the one who had to go. & during that half hour...I found our so much about him. He's really a nice guy. & I went to the outdoor pool where my siblings were & I'm dancing around the pool singing loudly, "Andrew called me!! Andrew called me!!" & ppl were looking @ me like...u idiot!! shut up!! hahahahaha i wasn't going to if it was that good of a day where we had a REAL convo. & i found something as we were talking...as sweet as he was asking so many questions, he really seemed into the convo. it didn't seem like he just "had" to ask these questions just to get the girl. He paid attention to what I was saying & thats what he asked questions about, whatever I was talking about. Now as much as it was nice of him asking questions about me, I wanted to learn about him!! One year I waited for that call & now we're in touch. (**********Oh yea, I found out what happened with his messed up phone!! He lost it & his mom won't let him get another one so now he uses hers lol [its a guy thing; happened just 3 months ago to my good friend dan lol]***********)
Well as we were saying bye, he said, "Oh, & maybe we can talk later...thats if you're free tho" Pshhh of course I was free!!!! I really was doing like nothing on my vaca. So I called him around 8ish & he didn't answer. Which again...whatever we'll talk later. So I was sitting in the hotel room with my grandma while my sibs & parents were @ the outdoor pool & I hear my phone ringing & of course I thought it was a txt. & then I ran 2 it b/c I realized it was a call. & lucky me, it was Andrew calling me!!!! He said he couldn't pick up b/c he was @ his C.A.P. Meeting.
So the first phone call that day was about a half hour. The phone call @ like 10:30pm was for over 45 minutes!! Yes, this is Andrew talking to me!! & I found sooo much out about him (oh yea...not to mention all the stuff that makes him my dream guy!!)

Ok, he IS my age
He's in the C.A.P. & when he turns 16 in April, he'll get his permit, something for a motorcycle (i think his permit for that as well), & i believe his liscence to FLY PLANES!!!! Ok...I swear I could have drooled but...omg that is just sooo cool!!!!!!!!! & his dad is a fire marshall & my dad used to be a volunteer fireman. So our convo went on & I found out even more, he & i have a lot in common. At one piont of our convo, he even said, "Wow...we have the same opinjons on a lot of things." & for him to realize that b4 i even thought it or realized it it, it meant a lot to me, as corny as that sounds. it really means a lot. Esp. b/c of the fact i've never had a bf!! Lol


Now, this is the best part of this...I guess story lol
Well the other day I called him & I wanted to invite him kayaking with me, my mom, & my brother & sister. & when I called & i told him how where we kayak, its where my grandpa works (his friend Marty owns a fishing shop & ppl can dock their boats where he owns property & stuff like that). & I was telling Andrew how my grandpa lets me drive or steer, whatever its called lol he lets me steer his boat every summer. & he says in a very excited/interested way, "Do you like boats?" If I were old enought to have my own boat, I would save every penny I make & put it toward a boat & gas for it & I'd try to be on it every day. It is the best thing for me-esp. since I love fishing. So I said, "I love them. I go fishing every year. It's like my favorite thing to do during the summer." & his reply that was, "Really? Well I actually have a boat. ...maybe sometime if you want you can come with me & maybe we could fish." HALLELUJAH!!!! ANDREW ASKED ME ON HIS BOAT!!!! & he's definately coming kayaking!!!! & he's never been kayaking b4 so it'll be cool 4 him. but omg, he's done like everything else!!!! he's so involved!!

So...Monday (the 27th) I see Andrew!! & hopefully...() I'll have my first kiss with Andrew!! Omg I can't wait!! Lol

Hope that you find this "story" well worth waiting for as much as i found it worth happening lol

For some people, this kinda stuff is skill. For me it definately was luck. I've never had a bf or even kissed anyone!! Lol

But an even better point:
(Knock on wood) I don't have the best luck in the world but when something good happens, it turns out to be great. So in a way I guess it kinda does make up for all my bad luck. I honestly don't really believe in those horoscope thingys 100% & if something happens that I'd read in Seventeen mag horoscope, well...I thinks its a coincidence.

It's amazing how 12 year olds and even 13 year olds are trying to grow up so fast. With all the make-up and expensive "popular" clothing. But w/e. uhmm...well...monday. it went...actually really well. but me having no experience lol makes it worse for me b/c half the time i was like, "what the hell am i supposed to do next" lol but i kinda got it after a while

Well when my mom said that he had arrived at our house, I had like a million thoughts running through my head. Is he gonna be like when I call him, which he kinda doesn't say much but he's a good listener. & he proves it 2 me by saying his opinion on what we were talking about or something like that. Is he different from last year? Well, with quite a lot of thoughts running in circles, I walked outside & see this...guy step out of a pick-up truck (i LOVE pick-up trucks lol) & man i couldn't stop looking at him. He was absolutely gorgeous!! I can't even put it into words..!! Just looking at him...!!!! Lol

Well I went up to his truck & we said hi to each other & as our moms were talking, his little sister hops out of the truck & says hi to me & asks me in the cutest way, "Why is your house so far-far away?" Lol she's adorable!! & she likes me too so that's always a help there lol

Since where we were going kayaking takes about an hour, me, my brother, my sister, my mom, and andrew had talked about all kinds of stuff. It was interesting hearing about his boat, his house upstate & all kinds of things that I find really really cool. As we were kayaking, we were all splashing each other with our paddles & we stopped on I guess a beach but I think it's more of a sandbar & it has beautiful houses on it its just...so nice & peaceful to get out there. So me, Andrew, my sister & brother were swimming in the water & then later, me & Andrew walked to another part of the beach where we were alone & we were talking about a lot of things. So during our conversation, we'd have moments when we couldn't really think of anything to talk about but I could tell that we were both thinking of what to say, or how to make a move. He made a move first by saying, "Can I say something?" and i said, "Yea" "When I got out of my truck, I was...suprised to see you. I was really happy that it was you." I smiled & said, "Thats a good thing." And he said, "Yes." He made a second move. One where I can say exactly what was on my mind. He asked me what I thought of him. My answer, "Well, you're nice, you're funny, ...you're good looking." And after those three things I said about him, he said thank you. So he hasn't changed since last summer; he's polite. So then he said to me, "Do you have a boyfriend?" Ok, I swear I was speechless for a second but i was like SNAP OUT OF IT!! Lol So I said, "No. I've never had a boyfriend actually. ...& I haven't kissed anyone either" And he I guess seemed like wow she hasn't kissed anyone or ever had a boyfriend? & then he said, "You haven't had a boyfriend? ..Or kissed anyone?" "No" & I've been dying to know (even though I was 99.9% sure he didn't; leaving that .1% chance left) if he had a girlfriend. So I asked if he did & he said that he didn't. Now, my statement of never kissing anyone or having a boyfriend kept being brought up, by him! Then probably about two minutes after me saying that I've never had a boyfriend he said, "See.., Steph...do ever plan of having a boyfriend?" Aghh!! I was like, is he trying to ask me something?!?!?! So I tried to remain calm & I said back, "Yea" & he said, "...Soon?" & I said, "Mmm-hmm" & then he said, "Like...how about now?" I looked at him right in his eyes, gave him a cute look & said yes. ANDREW ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!! OMG I...OMG!!!! ANDREW ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!! So I guess he wanted to say what he thought about me from him saying, "Do you have any questions for me?" "Yes actually. What do you think about me?" Andrew said, "You're good looking. You have a great personality." Hah, guess who decides to pay us a visit. My brother. He came over to us & said that my mom said we're gonna head back. So as we were walking back him and I were finding some really nice shells & he gave me some of them & he was getting some for his mom. The whole entire way back, all I could think about was Andrew. Now he's my boyfriend.

When we got back to my house, me & Andrew were outside on my skateboard & then...again to ruin a moment, my brother came outside on his skateboard. But mike & andrew seem to get along. They really do. Well we went to a 7:30 movie, Mr. Bean-me & andrew think he's hilarious-& it was good b/c me & andrew kinda got that feeling we were on a date-even tho we weren't 100% lol he's a really sweet guy. he bought popcorn for us to share & even on the way home we were still having a lot of fun together. When we got home from the movies idk how but we were in my dining room & we were talking about the family portrait hanging on our wall & we were looking @ some other pictures & i was looking @ him & i can tell he was eyeing me to the door; like he looked @ me, then the door probably like 3 times so i asked if he wanted to go outside & we went. but to ruin it, my sister & her friend were outside & they wouldn't stop talking to us. But I tried not to let it bother me, but my brother interrupting me & andrew 3 times that day did bother me. So me & Andrew just watched some funny videos i had on my cell & then his mom came. So when we walked in the house I made sure he & i would be alone before he left. So we went & sat in his truck. The whole time I felt like...idk I just felt so...happy & comfortable being with him. When we were in his car we were listening to music and we took pictures of us together & i just knew he was going to try to kiss me especially b/c eve since i told him that i haven't kissed anyone, he kept bringing it up, but once we were finally alone, someone would come!! (cough cough my brother)

well, we were close enough i'll tell you that. & he was looking into my eyes & then, my mom said that i had to go. but you know what, i waited to be that close to him for a year. and i'll tell you another thing, waiting that year was probably one of the best choices i made. i could have gotten a boyfriend-some guys have told me they liked me. but my luck, it was once i got connected to andrew lol

so now that me & Andrew are bf/gf, we talk pretty much everyday, esp. b/c we live like 40 minutes apart so i can't just get a ride or even go to his house on my bike. but he called me last night & said, "Can we go kayaking again?" i told my mom about that & she said im probably one of his first gf's & kayaking probably left a mark in his mind & im happy it did.

I see what you're saying. & I know exactly what you are going through; you want to be older & do "big kid stuff" i guess u can say but on the other hand, you still just want to be a kid! And your friends might even be jealous if they say you're flirting b/c maybe they don't have the guts to talk to a guy yet. My brother actually just turned 12 the other day & idk...he's just...mature-er than other 12 year old boys @ home. When he's with his cousins or friends he's all crazy & acts like a normal kid. He's good by himself all day playing his PSP & his Wii system he just bought. I guess he's trying to grow up really fast as well. Reason I say that is b/c now he talks about a girl he likes in front of me, my sister, & my mom. Idk if he told my dad he likes her but whatever-my point is now he's talking about girls, he's doing daring things, he's trying to grow up!

Me & my brother are extremally close & I talk to him if something's up with my sister & I have him talk to her 4 me. I guess he's trying to be like me, b/c I walk around the house talking about my bf Andrew cool1: ) lol & I sometimes do daring things. & when my parents & I get in a fight, it's for a day or so. Then I'd just go sit outside & lie down on the grass with my iPod. It helps me feel better somehow. Now my brother has a skateboard. He listens to his iPod (not that he can't or nobody does but...he does what I do). It makes me have a great feeling of pride in me that I'm being looked up to. So now I have to watch out with my decisions & everything. But I don't have much to worry about with decisions b/c I have parents who dont let me just leave my house when I want to & wander around the streets & elsewhere.

I'm honestly not sure of my point I'm trying to make. Just sharing experience with you Ms.Squeakers. I guess tweens (or preteens) think, "Wow look at those kids on their bikes & walking around. I want to do that!" Honestly, its not all that. Sure, it's fun but to some kids it's better to others to ride around-but do you see them go through intersections as cars are going by?! It's crazy! I don't care how much my parents would let me ride around with my friends all day, I would never think of going through an intersection like that! And another thing, I was in the mall with my mom probably like 2 weeks ago. & we're in Dylan's Candy Bar & we see these kids stealing candy out of the plastic bin things. They open it, make sure nobody is looking, & start to "taste-test" as much as they can. My mom was in... shock! & so was I!! I'm sure the preteens these days will grow up into great teens setting great examples b/c some teens these days make really bad decisions. Not all do, but there are some kids...I can't even begin. Idk about kids in your area, but the ones a few towns over from me...I don't even want to say. Thank God I live in a good area!!
