Those who got an e-mail discount, when are you going?

I got an e-mail (good for stays between Aug 29 and Dec 19) and finally decided on Pop Century for Dec 8-12 - $49/night!!! Too good of a deal to pass up!!!

Can't wait!!!

Wanted to stay at the Caribbean - there was nothing available at any of the 'moderates'.
We will be staying at Pop Century -- $49 plus tax. We originally had reservations at All Star Movies for $99 plus tax.

I just called and got the Contemporary for 12/18 for $149. This is our first onsite stay. We are going on a cruise and will have one day to see the Christmas decorations. My husband thinks I'm crazy to spend that much, but he likes to make me happy.

We got an email late Monday night and I called yesterday. We already had the AZZ September code but the email saved us another 70 dollars off our stay so we changed it to that rate. The rate we have now is about 134.00 a night with tax included for a pool view at AKL in late September.

Staying at the CSR on October 23 - $79 rate. We were already getting a great deal on BWV using rented DVC points, but I needed one more night, and was planning on staying offsite, so I'm VERY happy, indeed !

Thanks ebhurleys. I'm going to call tonight and see what they say. I'd already decided to see if I could change the first three days of our week, but it would be great if they did all of them. $79 beats $118!

Just tentatively (now I have to look for flights) booked POR for Sept 16-20. Got $94 a night for a king bed room. I believe we ended up saving only about $30 above the AZZ discount... but I'll take that!

BTW I loved the CM who helped me. Wish I got his name. This is my first trip to WDW (an anniversary surprise from my dh before our big trip with the kids next summer), and the CM was soo happy and excited for me too. He spent so much time with me going over rates, and availability and giving me his opinion on all the places.

Just booked the Poly Garden view for 6 nights at $1398.00 w/tax. It was a toss up between Poly and POR -- I loved the POR price but we needed the extra space since we have five going this trip.

I'm not! But I did call out of curiosity for the two nights before our cruise. I asked for a deluxe or a moderate and the only thing she said was available was the BC - Concierge for $847 or CSR for $176. Neither of these interested me, especially the $847, so we're still keeping our ressies at Ron Jon before our cruise.

BUT, we are going on the Disney Magic's November 27th sailing!

Well I called back about my email just now, and now have a new amount for our stay. And, they even applied it to the existing reservation for the entire time! We just went from $830 for the stay to $617 for the stay. It seems it does pay to ask, even though some of our days were supposedly 'blacked out'.

We just decided out of the blue a few days ago to head down during October 18-22. We did not get an email or postcard. The agent on the phone quoted the $49 rate for PC ... Since we haven't been there yet, we decided to go for it.

It's been over a year now... and that's too long!
