Wait....I just purchased $150 in BB gift cards from My Gift Cards Plus....are these the ones you are referring to that are being claimed as fraudulent??? That makes me nervous!!!

No, you shouldn't worry. I had a virtual visa that I used to buy a Disney Gift Card from Best Buy (online). They sent me a card that was not activated and when I called to get it activated, they said I had to go to the store to get it "replaced". It seemed simple enough, but it led to a bunch of issues. It was basically "flagged" that it was potential fraud and there wasn't anything they could do in the store and I needed to contact corporate. The people at the store were AMAZING, especially since I had my ID, a copy of the Virtual Visa (with the numbers), the transaction page showing I'd made the purchase, and every piece of paper trail imaginable...they could clearly see that there was no fraud involved. It took 6 weeks of back and forth on the phone with folks from corporate before they finally sent me the $25 Disney gift card. I even pointed out that if this was some sort of scam, do they think I would be so persistent over a measly $25?? Sheesh! I'm done with buying online gift cards from Best Buy.

6 weeks is excessive. That's just ridiculous. I've moved away from Best Buy completely. I find that it is not actually the BEST buy.

Use the mobile web to go to Swagbucks, not the app. The app just takes you to the best buy site, the web will show you the coupons page with the bonus offers and you can get the QR code from there.

Question about SB Local.

Made a purchase yesterday at a local restaurant featured on my Local map. Its still not showing as pending, nor did I receive outright credit for it. This is in contrast with my prior local experience with shopping purchases. So my question is, do restaurants show up differently? If not, how do I go about proving up the purchase to SB so I can get credit? I did use the same linked CC I used last week at Sephora (which went pending almost as soon as I left the shop).

I have a pending shop activity for a hotel rental on Priceline. It's doesn't have a SB amount and it says "Pending, credits after travel date." It's been almost a week since the last day of travel. Plus, I also have a car rental through Priceline showing up with the amount of SB and "Credits in 17 days." Should i go ahead a turn a ticket in for this?

I had in my inbox an offer for 40 SB credits instantly if you sign up for emails from pillsbury. Super easy and quick.

I was having trouble yesterday with SB watch. I could not click on the watchnow. It seems to be working again today for me though.

That's the problem I am having, the "watch now" is unclickable and it will not self-start. I was able to get something going under sponsored videos and it is running like watch now so that helps.

Today is slogging on SB. The watch stopped working. I got some videos to work in a sponsored post and on the SB button, but those stopped. Thankfully I had the pillsbury offer in my inbox and some coupons from Friday credited.

So I think I screwed up and am annoyed because I missed the part about banking and combining the visa's into one card would be charged a fee even though I wanted a virtual visa. So instead of the $50 I thought I'd have I ended up with 47.50. I loaded the card onto paypal but it can't complete the transaction because there's not $50 on the card for the gc. I thought it would drain the card and then take the rest from my bank. I guess I'll use it to pay my car insurance and buy the gc with a regular credit card but that takes the whole thing of "free" money and makes it uber annoying. I thought they only charged the fee when you wanted to get the physical card otherwise I would have just done two transactions. This totally negates the sb discount too.

ETA even more of an idiot. I'm so focused on the virtual visa part that I bought the dis gc online when I could have gone to staples and used my 10% offer on my amex. I give up.

I'd been using the visa's to buy a gc each month but now that people are having issues with using them directly with shop disney I figured I'd go through paypal like the others. Lesson learned. Though if it works paying on my car insurance I should just do that and then use the staples deal, it makes it easier.
