Well, for me it's not one vs. the other. I use both.Okay Swaggernauts, convince me that nCrave is worth the trouble. I used it a lot earlier in the month when they had double points, but I just don't see the benefit that some of you are getting? It takes so long to run through the Discovery videos and then I get 2-4 SB, but my laptop is held hostage by the page since I can't navigate away from it.
When I use Watch feature I manually move through the videos, watching about 20 seconds each. Using that method it takes about 4 minutes to earn 3 SB. And I can navigate to other pages (like DIS) if I want.
So sell me on nCrave vs. Watch.
I use nCrave when I'm doing other things around the house where I won't be using my laptop for a while. So I get one started when I'm getting ready to do the dishes, or shower and get ready for work in the morning, or do some yardwork, etc. Instead of just leaving the laptop sitting idle, I let it earn me some SBs while I'm busy elsewhere. If I'm leaving home for a quick errand, I start an nCrave before I walk out the door. I've been running the Fitness & Sports nCrave, which is worth 6 SBs each time. Those rounds of 6 SBs add up quickly, all during times when I'm not available to sit down and click my way through the Watch mode.
I do have an iPad also, so I can easily run nCraves on my laptop while doing other things on the internet with the iPad.
I use the Watch feature if I'm just sitting and watching TV, so I have my laptop right there and can just click forward to earn some points that way.
I did discover something about nCrave last night though, that now makes it possible for me to run nCraves AND surf elsewhere on the internet all on my laptop. The browser I usually use on the laptop is Safari, and I have to keep the screen on nCraves while one is running. But last night I used Chrome, and I had nCrave running while I opened another tab on the internet and did other things. The nCrave kept running just fine. That was a nice find!
So that's my story with nCraves and Watch. It's great that both are available for different situations.
