How is the weather? I dont mean in terms of the hurricane, but the heat/humidity.
I was in the Orlando area for the past two weeks - flew back home yesterday - and it was very hot and humid.
I've been in FL in early November when it was much cooler and we needed sweatshirts in the evening. But, I've also been in early December when we didn't need sweatshirts for a MVMCP.
Be prepared for any kind of heat and make plans to cool off in a/c buildings.
We just flew back last night (Tues) and wow--am I grateful to be back in Seattle!
It was blazing saddles hot and humid. Miserable. Took refuge in a/c areas. Occasional thundershowers that were torrential. At one point you could have wrung me out and filled a bucket
Florida weather is not for the weak! It's no joke. Of course when parts of the country are buried in snow and ice, and it's a mild 75 and sunny in FL---that's the payoff!
We were only there because my husband had a work commitment. Plus it's hard to pass up Food & Wine when air and hotel are already paid.
I'm glad we got outta Dodge before the hurricane stuff hits. I truly hope all that are there stay safe and it's a short inconvenience. Unlike Haiti.
My heart breaks for families that scrimp and save for this trip, and then this happens on the one week they have been waiting for.
Also, weather wise--once the hurricane blows through, I think the temp will drop a bit.

does later in October get better? My daughter is bent on going to MNSSHP but I see in 2020 (yes that's 4 years away) that Halloween lands on a Saturday so if we were to do it that year we can catch both the MNSSHP and see the Christmas decorations too.

Slight drop in humidity but it's usually still hot and humid the end of October. It's rare and been a few years since temps were nice at the end of October
So no real significant difference from 9/30 to say 10/20?
(people seem to think it doesn't get hot/humid here, but trust, it's gross), but the weather was gorgeous. 80's was good for us.
