We are renting a car in Orlando next month and with the help of the people here on this board have gotten a Diners Club Charge Card. Mainly so that we would have primary coverage on this rental. Those of you that have and use the card...do you rely solely on this card for rental insurance? Do I still need to bring my State Farm Ins. card with? Have any of you ever had a problem and actually had to use the coverage from Diners Card? Is it is big problem? Any and all help any of you can provide would be wonderful!

The funny thing is we have rented many, many times in the past and have always refused coverage through the rental agency, always relying on the secondary coverage our master or visa cards provided. But after reading all of your posts about it... I ahev gotten a little paranoid and now suddewnly want to make sure we are 100% covered!

Thanks in advance!

I have always relied upon my Diner's Club and yes I have had to use it. Basically I called them, faxed them the info they needed and that was it. Never heard another word from them or the rental car company so I assume everything was taken care of. (One case was a broken headlight where I hit a pole in a parking garage in Spain and the other was where someone pulled out in front of me and I couldn't stop in the rain. In that case there was substantial damage and it was his fault, but I have no idea who paid!)
