Those of you who have waitlisted at BCV at the 7 month window...

...for a dedicated 2BR with 2 Queens, has your request come through? I'd love to stay at BCV in December, but really want a 2 Queen two-bedroom. Do members typically switch to another resort at the 7 month? Or, would the people who have these most likely want to keep them?

CaliD - Can't help you with your waitlist question with personal experience, but just wanted to let you know that there are only 25 of the rooms that are 2 BR dedicated with 2 queens.

Given that that is a small number of rooms, it may be hard to get your waitlist with that specific room type. Especially in December.

Maybe you can call MS now and ask them what availability looks like for your timeframe.

I would say that some people try and switch at the 7 month window, but can't say as to how many of those people have reserved a 2 BR- 2 Queen room.

We waitlisted last year for late Oct in August(only a few months out), and I chose to waitlist day-by-day. It took us 2.5 weeks and 3 phone calls from MS to get all 4 days in a ded. 2 bed w/2 queens, but it did come through for us. The guy who called all three times to give us days on our waitlist was just as shocked as I was. On a side note-upon checkin we were preassigned a dedicated 2 bed w/q and sleeper NOT the Q/Q we reserved. When I questioned it after checking the room out, they did not have a q/q for me, but I could have moved the next day if I chose to. I did not. I'm sure I could have raised a big stink, but I was not really that disappointed; because, I got the view I wanted (Pool).

Our waitlist was for Oct which is busy for DVC, but it is not Dec. I would think Dec would be more dificult, but I am only guessing. I say you have a 50/50 chance or better if you go the day-by-day route, but then you also stand a chance of having to move rooms several times during your trip.

I waitlisted a 2br at BCV in the 7 month window and had WVL as the ressie. Our trip is 3/13 and I just got a letter today saying we got the 2br at BCV. I didn't ask for a dedicated because it doesn't matter to us, We never stayed at either BCV or WVL so we'll see how we like it. My kids are older so I'm hoping we'll love SAB. We certainly love the location.
Can't wait! We're in the middle of a snow and ice storm here!

We had a reservation for a 2BR at the BCV that we made at 11 months for New Year's week. At 7 months a relative decided to go with us. We were able to get a studio for the whole week except for New Year's eve and New Year's Day night for her. Both nights came through within a week of each other at around 4 1/2 months. I don't know if it was just luck or what but New Year's is one of the hardest times to book and we were able to get it through the wait list.
