This is our first time and we have a premium room booked. Is there anything I should request? Like where the room should/shouldn't be, stuff like that.

Thanks. :dance3:

Not sure where the upgraded rooms are but PLEASE DO NOT TAKE A ROOM IN THE SMALL HALL NEAR THE BOILER ROOM!!!!!!!!!!. My sister found bug type worms in her bed two nights in a row. At my suggestion the second night at near 2 am they moved us :(. They had all day to spray the room for pests as I let them know we would be at park all of day. The pests were all over the floor , near the air conditioner and wall. I had stayed at CCI 3 times prior. I stayed there in late July of 2007. Maybe other resorts had issues --I can only speak about my experience. :sad2:

All of the premium rooms are at the back of the property. I don't believe there are any in the location that dalepool mentioned, though. (sorry to hear about that experience, btw)

We've always had great experiences in the premium rooms, especially enjoying the in-room breakfast. Have fun!

We have stayed there three times and LOVED it - but we have never stayed in a premium room so I am not sure where they are located. What has mattered to us is being more towards the front of the property so we don't have to walk so far to catch the shuttle. One because we were with someone who needed a hip replacement (who used one of those electric wheelchairs once we were actually in the park). And for the rest of us, we do the park commando and therefore walk ALL day and ALL night so we conserve our steps in the AM! :lmao: Ha ha!

The real truth is that I am seldom ready on time and it's easier for me to run after the rest of the group as they leave me to go board the shuttle! :lmao: Also, we like the front of the property so that we are closer to the pool and the breakfast. The breakfast area tends to get REALLY crowded and we have found that sometimes we just send someone over to the breakfast and they'll bring it back to the room (or snag a table by the pool ;) !) Here's one last thing to think about. If you are bothered by noise i.e. car headlights and commotion or small children running past your door, you may want to ask for an upstairs room - unless stairs are an issue for you or someone in your group. I think they have elevators though. Last time, we had a duo of Harley Davidson bikers parked outside our door that took off about 6:00 am but it really wasn't that bad as we were up and getting ready anyway and they were VERY considerate. Usually those bikes tend to be loud and it wasn't that bad. I have found most guests to be very thoughtful. We are going back to the Candy Cane in April - it's our favorite. We have stayed at the Raffles and the HoJo's on other visits but my husband (who usually doesn't have a strong opinion about much insists on the Candy Cane from now on;) ). Have a great visit!

We stayed at the CCI for a week in a premium room last May. Our room was on the 2nd floor near the middle of the back of the horseshoe. We had a great exprience there!!! No noise (other then people coming & going, no biggie), everything worked properly, breakfast delivery was right on time & exactly as ordered every day. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We usually request a ground floor room. There are no elevators, and I hate to carry full suit cases up and down the stairs. I know other people like to be upstairs so they dont have to listen to people walking above them. We have never noticed a problem with noise from above.

If you are near the front of the hotel you will have to deal with more people (ie: everyone!) walking past your room early in the morning and late at night, which bothers some people. If you are near the back, you'll only have the other people staying in the back walking near your window. We dont worry about it because we are the people that are coming and going early and late. We do try to be quiet and remind the kids to be mindful of others who are trying to sleep.

We had a premium room and loved it. Any small issues we had were resolved immediately by management. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
