...I forget what they're called, but they're just giant ball things that the CMs will occasionally throw at you to get your attention.

Well, one threw a GIANT one at DH on the way out at AK last night...DH bats at it, not really thinking...and nailed the CM very hard in the private area with the giant ball.

CM groaned LOUD! I laughed quite a bit, but DH was really embarrassed....went to check on the guy, then got the heck out of there. :teeth:

Sheesh, what ARE those things called? I never liked them...too expensive.

Like the ones they bounce around in Epcot, in the walkways to MS/TT area and The Land? Yikes, Paul is strong, LOL!!

Hahaha...yup, and we were on the OTHER side of the walkway...he wasn't even paying attention to where he batted it back to...whoops!

Like this one? DD loves these... do you know this big one cost $300.00?

I've read many reoports here of Diser's children getting whacked in the face with those balls so the CM probably had it coming to him. ;)

Man alive...I wouldn't pay $300 for that piece of junk!

OMG! $300?!!?!

My sister had one of the smaller ones when she was a kid. All they really are is a fabric cover that goes over a balloon.

We always thought these were pretty dumb, then we got our children these 4 or 5 trips ago(the $30 range ones). They love em, keeps them busy for hours.

Those huge ones are really expensive. I bought my son a small sized one a couple of years ago for $10 (not too bad) and he wore that thing out. Then, the balloon inside popped and we had to throw it away.

Absolutely! I read the OP and thought "YAY!!" We were walking thru Epcot, talking to eachother, minding our own business, and my little DD6 got pegged in the face with one! It scared her and hurt her because it totally caught her off guard and whipped her head backwards. Those CMs are RUDE. I let the jerk know it was rude, but he laughed. Idiot.

I remember using balls of that size (we called them medicine balls) in gym class back in junior high. We stood around as if to play dodge ball with every man for himself and the intent was to keep the ball up in the air.

IMHO:

CM hits a guest with one: An infraction worthy of complaint followed by small compensation.

Guest hits a guest with one: An assault worthy of being dismissed from the park.

The scenario described by the OP: Not an offense unless malice or rowdiness is proven.
