I just bought my DS(2) his first pair of Disney Crocs Tuesday night and he loves them. He has wore them all day Wed and now it's Thurs and he has them on. I was afraid he wouldn't keep them on his feet and now I can't get him to take them off. I'll have to get him a new pair to stash away for out trip to keep nice.

My DS2.5 just started wearing them too and he LOVES them. He calls them "my new 'roc shoes". He keeps falling though because they catch on the ground.

My 4 year old loves crocs too. I can't remember the last time he wore real shoes. He got all bummed out because his blue pair are wearing out from constant wearing and Daddy said no new crocs until he needs a bigger size. :confused3

Do crocs stain or anything?

We just got the girls Mickey crocs in pink and the mean ol' mom I am is making them wait until we go to Disney b/c I don't want them to get "ruined".

I guess I am uncertain on their durability to the elements so that they don't start looking like the elements.

Nope, no staining.:woohoo:
I have 3 pair, all of which I would consider "light" colors, have been wearing all of them for over a year and they do not show any signs of looking "ruined".
Although I am 43.....perhaps with small guys the wear and tear may be different :confused3

Michelle in NY, I will be wearing my Croc-Athens flip-flops at WDW in 13 days!

My guys have been wearing them everyday since we got them almost 2 months ago, I just wipe them down and they look good as new.

Don't Crocs need to be broken in (at least to some extent) like any other shoe?? Saving new Crocs only to be worn at WDW seems like a recipe for disaster to me...

Plus you'd want to know if they get blisters or not (I got some in mine, the first time I walked in them for multiple hours)

My daughter is 1 and just loves her brand new Mickey crocs. She doesn't have any trouble keeping them on or walking in them.

Also, I've been wearing crocs for a couple of years now and haven't had to break them in. They also clean up really well with just a wet cloth.

I have a pair of Athens and the first day I wore them I got terribly red and sore between the toes-I took them off before I got to the blister stage. I am thinking that maybe my foot is a bit narrower than the norm cause while I know they are flip flops, mine sure flopped all over the place (size itself was just fine though). I've worn them around the house, but until the are broken in a little more (or I can wear them comfortably for a whole day) I will wear something else.

On the other hand, I got 2 other pairs of crocs-one capri and one sassari and I don't have problems with those. I'd definitely let the kids try the crocs out at home before going...just to be safe. Better that than a miserable kid at the parks. They all wipe clean and I've never seen anyone wearing a pair that looked beaten up, so I would think you'd be okay. :)

Okay, Honeymooner04--help me out! My granddaughter is almost 18 months. She wears a size 5 in the Payless Airwalk fake-Croc. I'd like to get her real Crocs for our Disney trip next month, but the sizing confuses me. I haven't been able to find the smallest sizes in the stores to try on her. The smallest is 4-5 and then is 6-7. My guess has been that the Princess would need a 5-6, which isn't a choice. What size does your daughter wear? I really want to order the Croclings for her, but don't want to order two pair. thanks!

Both of my kids have Crocs and love them! DS has been wearing his Disney crocs since he was 18 months and he LOVES them. He has the very smallest size they make. He really never had any trouble walking in them. DD has 3 pair and she loves them all- her shoe of choice. They are very durable and wipe clean easily.

My four year has worn hers everyday since we got them in March. I had to break it to her that she couldn't wear them to school when she starts kindergarten. I think she is in denial!

Does anyone know the best style for a narrow foot? I have tried the regular ones and mary janes and neither felt very comfortable.

LOL this is funny our kids all got a pair for X MAS and none of them even wear them they sit in teh closet they prefer runners my oldest gets terrible blisters from hers. The 2 younger ones just don't like them. I am kinda glad as I think they are the worst thing in the world for footwear.

There's actually a lot of research on how GOOD they are for your feet!

That is funny because my mothers foot Dr told her not to wear them as they are terrible for your feet they offer no support at all. Especially with her heel spurs and plantar facitus (sp).

Crocs were originally an orthopedic shoe (all these styles were not available though). However, they are not good for all foot conditions. Someone with heel spurs or plantar fasciitis would need custom fabricated orthotics, not crocs. I do work for 2 podiatrists so I'm pretty familiar with them. But...that said, my personal opinion is that the clog style is probably the ugliest shoe I have ever laid eyes on-reminds me the wooden shoes from Holland-only in a rubbery-look version. Some folks swear by them, but I don't see any difference when I wear the Capri, Athens or Sassari's, then again, I had no foot issues that needed correcting. To be honest, I feel more comfortable in my sneakers. I think the crocs are more of being in fashion than being a true medical necessity for most folks. They are convenient too, but most slip on type shoes are.

i thought crocs were started as a boat shoe that wouldn't scuff the hull??
that's what an interview in my boating mag said.

I had heard that a form of what is now the croc shoe was used by the boating community, but not the exact construction (only the croslite material itself). Possibly I'm wrong...you may have done more research on them. It was always my understanding that the true crocs became widely used by the orthopedic community for treatment of various foot issues and that for a time crocs specifically marketed to doctors. Now they've become some kind of fashion phenom and the general market is offering them up on every corner (or so it seems), albeit, not in the styles that the orthopedists normally prescribe.
