Where do you get thoses chocolate desserts I see in some peoples sig? Mickey shaped and such? They look too good too eat?/ Where could we get one?

I believe they are ordered from GF. But you can check with your resort to see if they could help you. If not lots of people order the dessert and eat at 1900 Park Faire at GF or one of the other GF restaurants.

my husband ordered me the "Cinderella's Slipper" dessert mmmmmmm. Anyway, he called a week in advance and had it brought to our table at Chef Mickey's.:cloud9: :daisy: :flower: :flower1:

It's a white chocolate slipper, with a mousse filling mmmmmmmmmmmmm, and raspberries, then there is a dark chocolate half heart thing filled with a chocolate mousse. Mine came on a huge white plate, with an embossed chocolate castle.

If you do a search on this board I think you can see pictures of it!! princess:

best part is, they where only $8.00 mmmmmmmm!!! what a deal!

Dawnflower,
Do you know what # your husband called to have the slipper at Chef Mickey's? We are eating at Cal. Grill, and I called about ordering the slippers as a surprise for dessert. The host at Cal. grill said that they don't make them.:(

I would love to have these delivered and would appreciate any info. you can provide me with regarding how your husband was so successful in doing this.

Thanks,
Keely:D

 dawnflower

i'd also like to know what number your dh called, i was told that you can only have them at the grand floridian resturants:confused3

thanks eve::MinnieMo

ok guys!! heres the scoop! DH said that he called the bakery at Chef Mickey's. They told him that any deluxe resort with a bakery can make them or has them or can get them. :) :sunny: :sunny:

Well, I just spoke to several people at the Contemporary bakery and private dining, and was told that they do not make the cinderella slippers there.:(

They said that they can make the chocolate Mickey or Minnie with chocolate dipped strawberries for $45.00!! That was too expensive for a dessert, even a cool looking dessert.

Oh well, I am sure that we will be more than content with the desserts on the menu at the California Grill.

Thanks for all of your help,
Keely

that is odd because I just had that desert at Chef Mickeys 4months ago! Sorry they where unable to help:confused:

I don't know if this helps or not, but I called the Grand Floridian directly yesterday and asked to be transferred to their bakery - my understanding is that their bakery is the only one at WDW that prepares the slipper dessert.

Anyway, I spoke with a chef in the bakery and told him what I wanted - hubby and I are having tea at the Garden View Lounge on October 22 - and he added it to our priorty seating reservation with no problems at all. He didn't even ask for a credit card to hold the order.

I'd suggest speaking with someone in the bakery and see what you can work out.

The direct number for the Grand Floridian is 407-824-3000.

Good luck!! :wave2:

Thanks for all the info. I just made PS for afternoon tea at the GF for Nov. 8 and then I called the GF direct number and said I wanted to order the slipper dessert. I was transferred about four times (but everyone was very polite) and I was able to order the slipper (14 dollars each) and it will be added to our PS for the tea. It is very exciting, I am going to try to keep this a secret from my family as a surprise (LOL).:rockband:

i was just wondering... where did you call to order that? does anyone know if you can order it ahead of time for any other restaurant???

we will be there in a few days, and it will be a family members birthday that will be joining us. i think that this would be a great surprize for her bday...

JenJen,

I was under tne impression that this dessert is only available at the Grand Floridian restaurants - they don't want to be responsible for transporting it to another resort because of the creme mousse inside the slipper (it can spoil easily).

Call the GF and talk to someone in the bakery - maybe you could order one and then stop at the resort to pick it up before dinner. Arrive a few minutes late and then give it to your family member before dinner - in my book there's nothing better than dessert before dinner!

Good luck!!!

:teeth:
