The worst drawback with wearing a thong is that having that thing right up your butt interferes with the natural outflow of gas. Im serious...... you have to move the thing out of the way when it happens.

It's true! and the only reason I know this is that (as a joke) I bought a thong when I was 40. I was shopping with my DD who was 14 at the time and she said "here is a thong Mom, why don't you buy it?". Well, I had just lost 30 pounds, so I decided to call her bluff and I bought it.
I wore it a couple of times and let me tell you..... that really does happen!
It's bad enough trying to pass gas without anyone knowing it, but if you also have to try to conspicuously move that thing out of the way to do it.... well, it's really tricky.

With thongs, you get a smoother look, no doubt about it. I have seen some young girls and women wearing thongs that were sticking out of the back of their pants and the thong appeared to be "chocking to death" I don't know if that makes sense to you all, but that's the best way that I can describe it. If a woman is looking for more support in her bottom, then a thong isn't the right underwear.

I don't know... sometimes I have seen women wearing clothing that, IMO, was not flattering on them. Then I think, if she is satisfied with the way that she looks, then that's all that matters.

What scares me is the concept of...the thong-shaped panty liner. I saw these for the first time fairly recently, and I just cannot figure it out. Plus, these were black...I mean BLACK all over. A: If you need a panty liner (and let's face it, girls, you know when you do) is a thong really going to do the job? B: If your panty liner is black, aren't you missing out on some vital information usually available to wearers of a white one? OK, I'm even grossing myself out here....

OK, these DO NOT work. At least not with mine. They are too big. Besides, I have "special" underwear for when I need to wear pantyliner or other things.

Alliecats - I remember a spoof of Cosmopolitan Magazine that came out many, many years ago - one of the entries was entitled "What your Panty Liner is Trying to Tell You." My absolute favorite that I have remembered lo these many years showed a picture of a happy little man's face with a chef's hat on. He was supposed to look like a baker. The caption was, "You have a yeast infection!" LOLOL!@!
