has anyone flown to Sanford with them? how do you rate them? would you use them again or steer clear. Also is the upgrade to premium worth it?

Thanks:)

:cool1: Let you know when we get back fly with them 26th, hope they are good. Saying that flew with Virgin 3 times twice had 24hr delay :scared1: one of the times flew in to Miami bused to Orlando arrived midnight hotel sold room :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: did not get a room in another hotel till 2am, oh & I was 24wks pregnant.
So think it pretty much does'nt matter who you fly with sometimes you get great flights sometimes good & sometimes bloomin awful. Hope this one is good.....or great would be even better.

has anyone flown to Sanford with them? YES - back at the end of June.

how do you rate them? Both flights ---BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

would you use them again......... Absolutely yes!

Also is the upgrade to premium worth it? Absolutely YES!!

my mum & dad flew with them last month & said it was fine :)

We flew to Sanford using Thomas Cook three weeks ago - absolutely no problems. Both flights were on time; two hot meals (no better or worse than any other airline food I've had). They were using a My Travel plane - with the downstairs loos :confused3 We had more legroom than on our previous My Travel flight last year - DH who is 6' 3" had loads of legroom whereas last year his knees were crammed against the seat in front. Don't know what the benefits of Premium are - they just seemed to have wider seats.

Check your luggage allowance though - our flights allowed 15kg pp and we had to pay an extra £140 to allow 20kg pp. Would fly with them again.

Flew with them in 2007, flight out was delayed by 6 hrs altho accept not their fault, no inflight entertainment ::scared1:
Inbound flight bit of a nightmare as DS ill and hostess' very rude and unhelpful, still waiting for ice for him to suck! :confused3
As for previous year's hol, Salou, still waiting for my luggage!
I would use Thomas Cook again at a push, but would not expect anything from them if there were any problems (Virgin they're not!)

Just got back from Orlando this afternoon, flew with Thomas Cook into Sanford, delayed four hours on the way out due to technical difficulties, compounded by the engineers not submitting their paperwork on time meaning that we missed out outward slot adding to the delayed departure!

On the way back, delayed seven hours (the people flying out from Manchester yesterday morning would have been delayed by a similar timeframe) and following flights have a knock on effect until they catch up.

How did Thomas Cook handle these delays - put it this way, I'm looking for an alternative airline for next year, having already booked with Thomas Cook!

Some very angry, upset people stuck in Sanford last night for seven hours!

On the way back said:
Oh no, sorry you had bad experience. Hope the rest of the holiday made up for it though :)

We are going with TC to Sanford in 3 weeks :yay: but when we booked my bf wanted to pay extra to go with Virgin, but i thought we should spend the extra on a better resort. Hope he doesn't get chance to say "told you so"

:scared1: Now I'm Worried:scared1:
Were the seats 3-3-3 ? I have checked on many occasions about luggage allowance & been promised we will have 20 kg per person + 5kg hand luggage!!!Could not cope with less going with 2 yr old is like mini flitting !
Did anyone notice the extra leg room on recent flights ? Not to worried about this just curious !
I always end on flights that are delayed or seat back tv are not working even when I up grade so really hoping for no delays, tv's working & lovely pleasant cabin staff that don't look at my 2yr old like he is the child from
hell !!:rotfl: :rotfl: Don't much care about the meals as I never eat them & always think they smell awful & can't wait for them to be cleared away. I'm not the best on flights just like to get on get there & get off never enjoy it ..
But you know what as long as we get there safely without 2 much hassle it will all be worth it, WHY ? Because I'll be in WDW:worship:

I think that's the key, it was our experience. Hopefully, by the time your holiday comes round, Thomas Cook are a bit better - there are plenty of people impressed with their service. I think it'll be you saying "I told you so", Animal Kingdom Lodge certainly has the wow factor! :thumbsup2

The seats on our flight were 3-3-3, I was quite impressed with the leg room, they were very keen weighing the bags on the way back, there were plenty having to repack cases to avoid an extra fee, $20 for every kilo over, they even weighed the hand luggage!

Had the plane left on blumming time, I wouldn't have had owt to complain about!

we fly out next sat with TC and on my tickets it says 20k luggage allowance each and 5K hand luggage. its an A330 and the seats are shown as 3x3x3

Thanks for replies starting to calm down a little now, only a little still hate flying no matter who I'm with !!

Quick question, is Thomas Cook flights on a Thomas Cook plane, or Thomas Cook on a Monarch plane? We've booked through Thomas Cook but we're on a Monarch plane.

When you book it tells you on the Thomas Cook and Mytravel websites who the carrier is. I assume you're on the Monarch from Newcastle. We've done that one quite a few times. Very basic, old planes, poor entertainment, not good legroom, not good food either. That said, if the times are the same as when we were on it in May, you'll arrive in Sanford ahead of the immigration queues as most carriers take off about 9.30-10.30. which will save about an hours wait, and there will be a better choice of cars if you're using Alamo.
The Monarch flight is a means to an end and nothing more. It's also a lot cheaper than the Thomson flight from Newcastle.

To OP and LornaAnn, I've flown Thomas Cook from Manchester and the flights were excellent. 37" legroom and seat back TV with about five good films on. No problems either way and a really enjoyable flight.

Yeah the same as I was in 2005. Flight times are the same as in 2005 as well. By the sounds of your description they haven't changed the planes since 2005 either!!!

Just got phone call from Thomas Cook this morning problem with tickets :scared1: would not say what just said they were working on it & would be sorted no later than 7 days before we are due to fly!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I spoke to travel agen and she assured me that we are flying on a Thomas cook plane not monarch, so as soon as I get back i will give some feedback.
