Hi guys - Just wondered if anyone can help. When we came back from Orlando on the usual VS076 Friday evening flight there was a Thomas Cook plane parked up on the tarmac at MCO.

Does anyone know if theyh ave started flying there or if not what it was doing there..?

The jet you saw on a Friday evening was a Condor flight operated with Boeing 767 equipment. The Thomas Cook logo is on the tail however if you were able to see the front half of the fuselage you would have seen Condor written in bold letters.

Condor currently operates twice weekly service on the Frankfurt-Orlando International route however with the recent addition of Lufthansa's six weekly nonstops, Condor will be dropping their service.

There is a nice photo of one of their 757's on Wikipedia. Click on the photo to make it larger:

During the winter a lot of travel companies lease out their aircraft as they aren't as busy as during the summer. For example the company I work for have aircraft flying to New Orleans at the moment that have been loaned by a cruise company.
