this years haunted house(long)

ok its time, and thanks to sherrync( just had t o throw her namein since shes so popular tonight) we are using an idea this year we got from monkey boy,, one passage will be the monkey boy memorial bridge, ( a rope bridge that actually sits on a set of mattresses) we'll be listing it as such in our pics,,, we are about through with basic floor plan, now onto the actual animating and set up, then a three week run of fright nights, this years house is a maze of terror,, ( ok so i'm not sure about the name,, thats dw and her best friends dept) starting with a hall of mirrors, entering a kiitchen of possessed appliances, then a dark maze, a room with the exorcist bed,, thumping on floor dummy sits up and head rotatees, into a torture chamber, much down sized and really just a spot to use our guillotine and rack, then into the monkey boy bridge area, out into a forrest scene that has everything from moving trees to a flying ghost, across the forrest into a grave yard with a crypt that opens and closes a few coffins with bodies and a ghoul or two, then into the "back" of the building to the Freddy Kruger boiler room, followed by a long hall back to the front, where you are "driven" towards the exit by a pair of headlights and a diesel reving its engine,, back into our lobby complete with "photo op" scenes and a fortune teller

any ideas for those above rooms, and or things we could use to turn people in the maze would be greatly appreciated

you welcome the beds goingto be my big project this ear, last year i built the guillotine, a rack, and a g allows that actually worked,, the gallows was a flop, the other two got stored and are being reused, this year the beds my big prop, the crypt is a easy fix, as are the automated kitchen appliances, but the three motions in one prop on that bed are going to b e a challenge,, we already have a way worked out to thump it, and to rotate the head,, now to get her to sit up on her own,, with out assistance from a actor,,,,,,,

FROGGY!! Are you aware that I am home alone until Monday?? There is nothing that freaks me out more than The Exorcist. Awwww this is my payback for posting that pic on that scary movies thread a few weeks ago.

This is a great Haunted House. I work for THE BEST Haunted park (haunt world Magazine) and think that you guys do a wicked great job.

Things to draw people in, A Vampire Crypt. A "funland" theme.. you know Haunted Carnival. Things like that are a lot of fun and play on peoples fears. (I hate haunted clowns)

one of my next sets of props are the coffins/ crypts for the graveyard scene,, one will be a large above ground tomb/crypt( think N'orleans cemetary?) that the lid lifts just enough to reveal a pair of black lit skeletal hands and arms holding the lid up,,, then slipping back down, we are skipping the clowns in lieu of a hall of mirrors, with a section thats just plain glass where actors will stand into view then drop.. again with off colored lighting behind the actors and glass,

another shameless bump, accompanied by an update.. we are hard at it, we have the kitchen room basically laid out and major construction is done,, the mae/hall is up and needs final tweeking, the exorcist room dummy now has a head,, and by tommorrow night will be 90 % complete, torture chamber has been taken over by construction crew till last minute the "cliffs" are up in the forest room, and i should be working on the bridge and fence this week end, we are trying to round up strobes and lighting, and will probably take the christmas lights up tommorrow and start installing them in the areaas we need them the plattter of head is ready for finish,, the platter is cut and so is the table top, ready for fabric and paint, we bought chjicken wire tonight to make boulders out of papier machee


its starting to come together nicely
